Bette M. Yaskulski

Bette M. Yaskulski, 69, of Kendall, passed away peacefully on Mon., April 8, 2019.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Myrtle Marsielje; and her brother, Robert.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul; daughters, Robin (David) Borkholder and Tina (Jason) Requa; grandchildren, Antonia, Taylor, Nathan and Sean; and several nieces and nephews.

Bette enjoyed camping with her friends and playing the piano and organ. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Strong Memorial Hospital for their loving care.

Family will receive friends on Sat., April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fowler Funeral Home Inc., 340 West Ave., Brockport, where a funeral service will be held immediately after calling hours at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Darlene Hornyak Gill, 55, of Brockport, died suddenly on April 5, 2019 at her home. She was born May 7, 1963 in Groton, Conn., the daughter of Jean (Raynor) and the late John Joseph Hornyak.

Darlene loved cooking, reading, and her cats.

She is survived by her mother, Jean of Brockport; beloved companion, Kerry DeVos; and her aunt, Rosemary Raynor Gibson of North Carolina.

There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Frank James

Franklin Junior “Frank” James, 68, of Pelzer, S.C., husband of Dawn Roberts James, passed away at home on Dec. 17, 2018.

Born in Fairmont, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lawrence Junior James and the late Edna Elizabeth Higginbotham James. Frank was a motorcycle enthusiast and a life member of the Crusaders Motorcycle Club in Medina. He worked various jobs, including at Abex Corporation, Keeler Construction, Kistner Concrete and Conrail in New York, and City of Greenville, Strange Brothers Grading and Ray Walker Trucking in South Carolina.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by four sons, F. Kenneth (Nicole) James of Kannapolis, N.C., Jason L. (Melissa) James of Simpsonville, S.C., Jeremiah R. “J.R.” James of Pelzer, and Nicholas A. (Anna) James of Albion; six grandchildren, Emily and Morgan James of Lyndonville, Nathaniel and Abby James of Easley, S.C., Cameron Fick of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tristan Franklin James of Pelzer; two sisters, Ann (Ronald) Marcinowski of Chandler, Ariz. and Jessica James of Medina; mother-in-law, Joyce H. Roberts; sisters-in law, Cynthia L. Roberts of Albion and Judy (Jim) Bennett of Lyndonville; brothers-in-law, Paul (Linda) Roberts and Mark (fiancée June McKinney) Roberts of Albion; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Susan James Schepis; and father-in-law, Thomas A. Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., April 20 at 1 p.m. at the B.P.O.E. #1016, 428 W. State St., Albion.

Elwin E. Joslyn

Elwin Joslyn

Elwin E. Joslyn entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Wed., April 3, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Born on Feb. 25, 1934, he was the son of the late Cedric and Marjorie (Everett) Joslyn.

He graduated from Albion High School and Alfred State College. A 32-year employee of Harrison Radiator Division of GM, he proudly served our country in the Navy for eight years during the Korean War.

In addition to being a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at the family cabin. He was active in Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout and later served as Scoutmaster, along with various leadership positions within the Lewiston Trail Council. He was an active member of Christ Community Church (the former First Baptist Church). His family was the center of his life, and he enjoyed any activity that included them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Aneita (Gardner) Joslyn; his sons, Jeffrey Joslyn and Stephen (Kelly) Joslyn; grandchildren, Alisha (Tyler) Swob, Hannah Joslyn (Nathan Godson), Emily Joslyn (Justin Carlson), Blake (Amanda) Boyer and Robert James Bucolo; great-grandchildren, Lawson Swob and Jocelyn Boyer; a brother, Donald (Maralyn) Joslyn; and many cherished nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Christine Renee Joslyn.

Friends may call Sun., April 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Mon., April 8 at 11 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St., Lockport.

Cheryl L. (Snyder) Eddy, of Spencerport, passed away suddenly on Fri., March 29, 2019 at the age of 70.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 50 years, John “Jack” Eddy; children, Lisa (Marvin) DiPilato, Kristen Sardellitti, and John (Monica) Eddy; grandchildren, Brianna, Matthew, Nicole, Taylor, Ryan and Connor; brother, Arden Ray (RoseMarie) Snyder; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cheryl’s life story will be shared during visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thu., April 4 at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 15 West Ave., Spencerport. Her funeral service will be held on Sat., April 6 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

Patricia Ritz

Patricia Ruth Ritz, 88, of Albion, passed away on April 2, 2019 peacefully at her home, with her loving husband by her side. She was born April 1, 1931 in Buffalo to the late Frederick and Loraine (Wilson) Daniels.

Patricia enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, and doing crafts. She worked for Eastman Kodak for 25 years before retiring. Patricia loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Patricia and her husband, Harry, spent time doing many things together.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frederick Daniels; and by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and George Plummer.

Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, Harry; children, Carolyn (Bruce) Sidari, Newell (Becky) Allport, Donald (Debbie) Allport, and Linda (Jimmy) Babcock; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Don) Powers and Betty (John) Travis; sister-in-law, Adrienne Daniels; brothers-in-law, Ron (Joann) Ritz and Fran (Deb) Ritz; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

James Buckland

James M. Buckland, 72, of Kent and Rochester, died April 1, 2019 at Monroe Community Hospital. Jim was born Jan. 1, 1947 in Albion, a son of the late Jay and Velma (Stafford) Buckland, and he lived in this area most of his life.

Jim graduated from Kendall High School in 1966 and last worked at Alliance Tool and Die in Rochester.

He is survived by his son, Jim Buckland of Rochester; brothers, John (Mary Ann) of Kent and Robert (Elizabeth) of Chili; his sister, Mary (Richard) Jewsbury of Kendall; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Gary L. Bonk, 42, entered into rest on Thu., March 28, 2019 at his home.

Born Sept. 14, 1976 in Brockport, he was a son of Harvey Bonk Sr. and the late Sandra (Nichols) Bonk. Gary loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rebecca (Stevenson) Bonk; four children, Sebastian, Isaiah, Alexanbrya and Eden Bonk; two grandchildren, Brazen Kerstetter and Caelum Torres; siblings, Cynthia Tanner, Harvey Bonk Jr. and Charlie Bonk; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A calling hour will be held on Fri., April 5 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, with a memorial service immediately following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Daniel A. Thurber will officiate.

Dorothy Baehr

Dorothy C. Baehr, 80, of Middleport, passed away April 1, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 3, 1938 in Lockport to Melvin and Ellen (Peterson) Engert.

Dorothy was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and a life member of the Terry’s Corners Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers and playing cards, as well as traveling to Florida every winter. Dorothy was a great socializer who enjoyed entertaining her friends and family. She loved her family to no end, and anyone who spent time with her knows that Christmas was her favorite time of year.

Mrs. Baehr was predeceased by her husband, Charles; and two brothers, James and Daniel.

She is survived by her son, Douglas Baehr of Gasport; daughters, Jane (Robert) Stanley of Middleport and Linda (Michael) Drum of Gasport; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, William (Shirley) Engert of Newfane and Richard (Camella) Engert of Rochester; sister, Joan (Gordon) Martin of Akron; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard D. Monacelli

Richard D. Monacelli, 69, of Tempe, Ariz. and formerly of Albion, entered into rest on Fri., March 29, 2019 after a long illness.

Born Sept. 28, 1949 in Albion, Richard was a son of the late Filbert H. and Nancy (Carbone) Monacelli. Mr. Monacelli served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1972 on the Navy Destroyer U.S.S. Tattnall. His tour included travel to the North Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea and Southeast Asia, including the Republic of South Vietnam.

He attended Mesa Community College and Arizona State University after his military tour. Mr. Monacelli worked with various building contractors in the Phoenix area. He retired as vice president and chief estimator for Michael A. Riddle Painting & Contracting in Tempe. His projects included the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, the Phoenician Hotel & Resort, the Arizona Mills Mall, the City of Mesa Fine Arts Center, and many colleges and school districts in the southwest. Mr. Monacelli was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Tempe and had a special devotion to the rosary. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills. He also enjoyed rooting for Phoenix-area professional and college teams.

He is survived by two children, Nicole (David) Ross and David Monacelli; two grandchildren; three siblings, Elenna (Arnold) D’Amico of Leesburg, Va., Elizabeth (late Larry) Passarell of Medina, and Philbert Monacelli of Medina; his niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, to whom he was devoted; three aunts, Lorraine Blandino of Bath, Geraldine Kientz of Brockport, and Cetta Carbone of Philadelphia; several cousins and friends in the Holley, Albion and Phoenix areas.

A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Fri., April 12 at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary’s Church in Medina, where Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Military honors will be accorded by members of Lincoln Post #1483, V.F.W. and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Holley.

Judith Garrett

Judith E. Garrett, 68, of Albion, died March 31, 2019 in The Villages of Orleans following a long illness. She was born June 14, 1950 in the Town of Gaines to Winton and Nina (Hollenbeck) Hatch and was a lifetime resident of the area.

Judy and her family were charter members of Gaines Congregational Church. She loved her church and her church family and actively participated in all church activities, including singing in the choir. Judy also enjoyed bowling, traveling, going for car rides, quilting, crossword puzzles, making jewelry and, especially, cooking. She also enjoyed playing “Farmville” on Facebook. Her greatest joy came when she was able to cook with her grandchildren. Spending time with her grandchildren was her passion in life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garrett was predeceased by her sister, Alice Irvine; and brothers, Robert and Terry Hatch.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Donald Garrett Sr.; her children, Sheila Blair of Gaines, Fay (Gretchen) Smith of Maryland, Matthew (Tina) Smith of Indiana, Don Garrett Jr. of Florida, Tabatha (Daniel) Smith of Albion, Joseph Garrett of Albion, and Rebecca (Joe) Bradt of Oakfield; her brother, Dan (Lin) Hatch of Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Laurie Hatch; brother-in-law, George Irvine; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rene SchaselRené J. Schasel, 72, of Albion, died on March 30, 2019 after a short illness. He was born Feb. 6, 1947 to Rudolph and Mildred Schasel in Port Byron, N.Y., where he grew up.

He graduated from Port Byron High School and received a degree in business from Aurora College in Aurora, Ill. Most of his professional career was spent in the banking industry. When the Anchor Bank operations center opened in Albion, he transferred there, retiring in 2007 when it became Washington Mutual.

René had a passion for collecting antiques, priding himself on his various and extensive collections. These included early electrical appliances, medallion photos, old novels, folk art paintings, depression and carnival glass, old radios, phonographs and clocks. He also had a real love for West Highland White Terriers. He was active for many years in Pullman Memorial Church, served several years as Treasurer for the Cobblestone Society, and was currently a board member of the Orleans County Historical Association. René had a very strong appreciation for historical architecture and its preservation.

He was predeceased by his parents; and by his brother, Dana, in 1991.

He is survived by his sisters, Marena Rupert and Elizabeth (Harry D.) Rupp; three nieces, Tracy, Kelly and Heather; nephew, Brian; and his longtime companion, Bill Lattin. His extended family includes Adrienne Kirby and Allison Lattin and their families.

Family and friends are invited to attend René’s memorial service on Thu., April 4 in the historic Cobblestone Universalist Church in Childs, routes 104 and 98, beginning at 4 p.m. A reception will take place following the ceremony. Private interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery.

Michael RobareAmerican flagMichael E. Robare, 54, of Medina, entered into rest on Wed., March 27, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 24, 1964 in Albion, a son of the late Peter E. and Rita T. (LaClair) Robare.

He graduated from Kendall High School, class of 1983. A proud Marine, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1983 to 1989. Michael worked for Claims Recovery Financial Services in Albion. He was an avid reader, writer, and champion coffee drinker.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his older brother, Steven Robare.

He is survived by  his sisters, Rita “Lizzy” Schoeps, Helen Robare and Gale Morehouse; niece/daughter, Tressa (Marjoe) Aguiling; nephews, Scott (Kelly) Schoeps and Jason (Nicole) Robare; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and one very special aunt, Doris LaClair.

Marguerite J. Moriarty

Marguerite MoriartyMrs. Marguerite J. Moriarty, 90, of Medina, entered into rest on Thu., March 28, 2019 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Cambridge, Mass., a daughter of the late Ray Oliver and Madeline (Jewell) Briggs.

She graduated valedictorian of her class in 1946 from Royalton-Hartland High School and went on to earn an associate degree from Bryant & Stratton College. On June 28, 1947, she married James W. Moriarty at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, and together they raised a family of five children.

Mrs. Moriarty was employed as one of the original staff at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in 1973. She was the business manager, and she retired as assistant administrator in 1993. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, St. Mary’s Church. An active volunteer, she headed up the Catholic education program and the R.C.I.A. program for 24 years. Mrs. Moriarty was a member of Court Santa Maria #295, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the St. Mary’s Mothers Club. She served as the travel coordinator for Senior Citizens of Western Orleans. Mrs. Moriarty traveled extensively over the years with her husband, and later with the Senior Citizens. She visited such places as the Middle East, Yugoslavia and Egypt. Whether she was working, volunteering or traveling, Mrs. Moriarty loved to be active and loved being with other people.

Mrs. Moriarty was predeceased by her husband, James, on Sept. 17, 1995; her brother, Richard Oliver; and sister, Joyce Rathmann.

She is survived by her five children, Mary Moriarty, Thomas (Patricia) Moriarty, Timothy (Terri) Moriarty, Betsy (Ronald) Scordino and Kathleen (Richard) Anderson; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Mon., April 1 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. The Rev. Daniel J. Mary LawrenceMary H. Lawrence, 83, of Albion, passed away March 28, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born June 21, 1935 to the late Paul and Mary (Gallagher) Edwards.

Mary enjoyed gardening with her late husband, LaVerne, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, collecting wind chimes, playing solitaire on the computer, and watching EWTN on her television.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, LaVerne, in 2011; and several siblings.

Mary is survived by her children, Ann (Steve) Chew, Judith Edwards, Michael (Jay Hueber) Lawrence, Robert Lawrence, Mary (Scott) Patten, Paul (Lucinda) Lawrence, David (Denise) Lawrence and Joseph (Jackie) Lawrence; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald (Mora) Edwards, Carol (George) Rich, Carl (late Linda) Edwards and Pauline (Bob) Forrester; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry Decker

Larry L. Decker, 75, of DeLand, Fla. and formerly of Middleport, N.Y. and New Milford, Pa., entered into rest on March 12, 2019 with his loving wife of almost 53 years, Nancy, by his side.

Larry is also survived by his children, Dan and Beth Piekarsky, Lori and Stuart Pollack, Amy Decker, Nicole Bricourt, and Brett and Trudy Decker; 10 grandchildren, Will, Chris, Christina, Samantha, Melissa, Breonna, Alissa, Cory, Tagen and Arie; one great-grandchild, Aidan; brothers, Stephen and Sharon Decker, William Decker, and Robert and Gail Decker; sisters, Bonnie Brainard, Emily and William Whitney, and Barbara and Tom Lewis; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

He was predeceased by his parents, J. Elwin and Grace Decker.

Larry retired from General Motors with 31 years of faithful employment. He was a Middleport volunteer fireman for 25 years. Larry enjoyed horses, golfing, and trips to the casino. He possessed a great love for his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 12 p.m. on Mon., March 18 at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home Inc., Hallstead, Pa. Interment will be in Franklin Hill Cemetery. Friends were invited to call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.

Judith Moss

Judith Howard Moss, of Medina, passed away on March 25, 2019 at the age of 92.

She was born in Youngstown, N.Y. to Edwin L. and Virginia O. Howard and was married on their farm.

She is predeceased by her husband, the Very Reverend R. Benjamin Moss; and her siblings, Jean and Gary.

She is survived by her children, Melinda (Scott) Abriss, Robert B. (Paul Lee) Moss, Katherine (Raymond) Parker and Lawrence (Leslie) Moss; grandchildren, Raymond E. (Molli O.) Parker IV, Rory J. Parker, Rachel J. Abriss and Jessica R. Abriss; nephew, Mitchell Howard; and niece, Susan (Peter) Tosto.

Judy lived a very full life as a mother of four, enjoyed a 25-year career as an educator and speech pathologist, and was a true thespian with over 50 roles in the theater (where she met her future husband). During her life and retirement, she traveled and went on many trips both here and abroad, together with Ben, her husband of 63 years.

The family has decided to forego calling hours and a funeral service. The interment will be a private ceremony at a future date for the family and will be officiated by Barbara Price of St. John’s in Youngstown.

In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to Dementia Society of America or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Bernard W. “Pete” Amos, 93, of Medina, passed peacefully from this life at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia on March 23, 2019.

Born June 20, 1925 in Rochester, Mr. Amos was the son of the late Warren G. and Grace L. (Potter) Amos. He moved to Medina at an early age and graduated from Medina High School, class of 1942. Eager to enlist in the Army at the young age of 17, Pete was told by his father that he had to wait until his 18th birthday. He joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He was sent with the 77th Division Anti-Aircraft Artillery team and earned the rank of Corporal. He fought in Guam, the Philippines, Leyte and Okinawa and was honorably discharged in 1946. Returning home, he married the former Shirley J. Pask in 1948, and together they raised a family of four daughters. In 1949, Mr. Amos graduated from R.I.T. He went on to work for Niagara Chemical Division, Niagara Mohawk, Medina Parts, and finally for Harrison Radiator in Lockport as a design engineer for 29 years, retiring in 1982. He was a lifelong active member of United Methodist Church in Medina, where he served on several committees. Mr. Amos also served on the Village of Medina board and the Millville Cemetery board. He was a member of both Lincoln Post #1483, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion. Pete was very active with Boy Scout Troop #28 in Medina and served as Scoutmaster for many years. He enjoyed guiding scouts through the various badges and Eagle Scout tasks, as well as camping at Dittmer and the National Jamboree at Philmont. Pete and Shirley enjoyed traveling together. Together, they visited all 50 states and several countries. Following retirement, Pete volunteered at Medina Memorial Hospital, Meals on Wheels and M.A.A.C. He was delighted to be one of the first to be on the Honor Flight out of Rochester in 2009. Mr. Amos was also incredibly honored to ride in the annual Medina Memorial Day parade for several years and will be honored with a banner hanging along one of Medina’s streets this spring.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Shirley J. Amos, on Dec. 4, 2013; and his daughter, Cynthia L. Graham, on Jan. 20, 2014.

He is survived by his three daughters, Claudia (late Wilson) Southworth, Cheryl Smith and Colleen Brose; three grandchildren, Stacey (Clint) Cormier, Scott Scharping and Courtney Dzialo; four great-grandchildren, Caleb and Joshua Cormier, Isabella and Ariana Dzialo; sister, Betty (William) Crandall; and sons-in-law, DeVon Smith and Gregory Brose.

Calling hours will be held on Fri., March 29 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. His funeral service will be held on Sat., March 30 at 10 a.m. at The Grove United Methodist Church, 11004 W. Center St., Medina. The Rev. Larry Eastlack will officiate. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery, with full military honors accorded by members of Lincoln Post #1483, V.F.W and Butts-Clark Post #204, American Legion.

Raymond Paul Mosier

Ray Mosier

Raymond Paul “Ray” Mosier, 85, of Holley and formerly of Rochester, passed away on March 24, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Oct. 9, 1933 in Rochester to the late Clarence and Mary (Fernandez) Mosier.

Ray was a skilled craftsman as his vocation, and he had a great reputation in the area as an excellent cabinet maker. He always “said it straight” whenever he was talking to anyone, and he lived his life the way he wanted. In his younger years, he enjoyed speed skating, and he always preferred quality-made goods. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed going to auctions, watching classic movies, and collecting antiques.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Clarence Jr.

Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Penny; sons, Teddy (Regina) of Rochester, Greg (Lynn) of South Carolina, Shawn of Clarendon, and Terry of Clarendon; grandchildren, Raymond, Shannon, AJ and Jake; and great-grandchildren, Mason, Kennedy, Anthony and Terran.

The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Route 31, Holley NY 14470, on Tue., March 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. Ray’s graveside service will be held Wed., March 27 at Mt. Albion Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Please enter in the westernmost gate and proceed to the back of the cemetery.

James M. Becker

James M. “Spinner” Becker, 62, of Medina, went to be with the Lord on Sun., March 24, 2019.

Born on Aug. 22, 1956 in Batavia, he was the son of the late Victor and Helen (King) Becker.

James worked various jobs in the Western New York area and was lastly employed with National Maintenance Contracting Corporation of Niagara Falls, N.Y., retiring in 2009. James was the proud owner of a 1939 Harley Davidson Roadster and, in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing off his deck with his faithful companions.

James is survived by his wife of 14 years, Debra Becker; his children, Tony (Renee) Becker of Orlando, Fla., Acoya Becker of West Seneca, N.Y., Kodian Becker, Wyatt Becker and Tacara Becker, all of Darien, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Gavin, Colton, Vanessa, Janelle and Emma; four siblings, Vicki Becker of Batavia, Randy (Karen) Becker of Indian Falls, Dori (Paul) Sinack of Phelps, N.Y., and Tim Becker of Batavia; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companions, Chopper, Hugger, Scooter, Harley and Peanut.

James is predeceased by a brother, Thomas Becker; and a grandson, Jacob James Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., March 30 at Oak Orchard Assembly of God Church, 12111 Ridge Road, Medina NY 14103, with the Pastor, Rev. Daniel A. Thurber, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
