Dorothy A. Knapp
Dorothy A. Knapp, 89, of Medina, went to be with the Lord on Tue., July 16, 2019 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, after a long illness.
Born on June 5, 1930 in East Otto, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Clark) Peacock.
Dorothy came to the Albion/Medina area in the 1940s and was later employed with General Electric Company of Brockport, N.Y. for 20 years. She attended Genesee Community College, where she received an associate degree in human services, and then worked for the Genesee County Office of the Aging until her retirement in 1980.
Dorothy was a member of Alabama Full Gospel Fellowship Church of Medina. She had a love of sewing and making quilts, which she shared with family and friends. Dorothy was a devoted mother and dear friend to her many church, sewing and hobby circles.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Harold Knapp; children, James and Robert VanderWoude, both of Medina, Linda (Henry Azcue) VanderWoude of Brooklyn, N.Y., Donald Knapp of Indiana, and Edward (Hope) Knapp of Alexander, N.Y.; granddaughter-in-law, Shannon Daugherty of North Adams, Mass.; grandsons, Travis VanderWoude, Johnathon, Joshua and Michael Knapp; great-grandsons, Chase and Payton VanderWoude, Benjamin, Connor, Oliver and Jordan Knapp; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by a son, William VanderWoude.

Eva M. Trump
Eva M. Trump, 94, of Medina, passed away peacefully Wed., July 17, 2019 at her home, under the care of her loving family and caretakers.
Born April 20, 1925 in Medina, Mrs. Trump was a daughter of the late Hattie J. (Chambers) Oliver and Leon E. Oliver. She was raised in Manchester and Auburn, N.H., where she attended school, and she returned to Medina in 1941. She married the late Marvin B. Trump Sr. on Feb. 25, 1946 in Summersville, W.Va. Following Mr. Trump’s retirement from the U.S. Army in 1971, the couple returned to Medina. Mrs. Trump was known for her quick wit and could be rather blunt at times, but her feisty yet tenderhearted nature was amusing and appreciated by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her 18 grandchildren, Richard, Tina, Marshall, Anna, Eva, Evette, Timothy, Brooks, Justin, Ashley, Abigail, Paul, Marvin, Michele, London, Rachel, Jimmy and Matthew; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her brother, Leon “Skip” (Margaret) Olivier; her sister, Gertrude (late Harley) Anderson; her brother in-law, Hubert (Doris) Fulks; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Penny Wilcox.
She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin B. Trump Sr., on Feb. 7, 1992; her three children, Marlene Samsel, Marvin Trump Jr. and Kathleen “Kitty” Price; siblings, Frederick Oliver, Jane (Alexander) Nestervich, Madelaine (George) Eckerd and Lewis Oliver; and best friend, Nancy Trump.
Calling hours will be held on Fri., July 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, where her funeral service will immediately follow at 12 p.m. The Rev. Daniel Thurber will officiate. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.

David M. Licurse
David M. Licurse, 80, of Sunnyvale, Calif., passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 14, 2019 in El Camino Hospital, Mountain View, Calif.
David was born in Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y., a son of the late Frank and Rose (Ilvento) Licurse. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara, Calif. and Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph’s Church in Albion. David received his MBA from the University of Rochester and was employed at Xerox for 24 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, David was involved with several startup companies. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kenneth D. Bailey (DDR-713), a Gearing-class destroyer.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph (Nellie) Licurse, Virginia (Clark) Cheney, and Rose (Chuck) Zicari.
David is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia (Maloney) Licurse; children, David Licurse Jr., Debbie Licurse and Denise Licurse; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Stephanie Licurse Austin, and Gabriel Licurse; great-grandchildren, Justin Austin Jr., Isaiah Austin and Naeveh Austin; brother, Frank Licurse; sister, Christine Licurse; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 21 West Ave., Albion, on Mon., July 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. David’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish/St. Joseph’s Church on Tue., July 23 at 10:30 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mary E. Petronio
Mary E. Petronio, 82, of Fairport, died unexpectedly in her home on July 15, 2019. She was born Dec. 3, 1936 in Eden, N.Y., a daughter of Douglas and Mary (Morganti) Patten, and had lived in this area since the early 1980s.
Mary was a graduate of Medina High School and Brockport State Teachers College, and she received her master’s degree in Special Education from Nazareth College. She taught elementary school in the Rochester City School District and was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers’ Association. Mary was also a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of America, the Mahjong Club and the Knitting Club, and, in addition to her love of gardening, she enjoyed attending craft and antique shows. She loved to decorate her home and host people for various events, and she loved cooking for the neighborhood. Mary was a world traveler, having been to six continents throughout the world. Her love for travel was a gift she shared with her family, especially her grandchildren, as she often took them with her on her trips.
Mrs. Petronio was predeceased by her brothers, Edgar and Paul Patten.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Dr. Martha David) Petronio of Spencerport; her daughter, Debbie (Doug Braun) Petronio of East Aurora; her brother, Douglas (Nola) Patten of Florida; her sister, Ann (Bill) Haffly of Florida; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth, David, James and Olivia.
The family will receive friends on Sat., Sept. 7 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Ave., Rochester NY 14607, where her memorial service will be held immediately following visitation. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

Irene E. Lynch

Irene loved to knit and tend to her flowers. She loved all animals and especially loved spending time with her cats. She worked as a housekeeper at Newfane Hospital before she retired. Irene was a fun-loving and generous person to many.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur G. Gillis; second husband, Andrew A. Lynch; son, Arthur Gillis Jr.; and siblings, Florence Schrader and Albert Rostin.
Irene is survived by her daughters, Edith (Gil) Seekings and Deborah Gillis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

William J. Brazzell
William J. “Robin Hood” Brazzell, 70, of Medina, passed away on Wed., July 10, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness. Born on Aug. 18, 1948 in Medina, he was the son of the late Donald and Connie (Kowalik) Brazzell.
Bill graduated from Medina High School in 1967 and, after graduation, he joined the National Guard during the Vietnam era. After his service, Bill was employed with Specialty Grinding of Middleport for 28 years. On July 11, 1970, he married the late Kathleen Santillo, and together they raised two sons. Later on, Bill was employed with Amada Tool of Batavia until his retirement in 2010. Bill continued working by driving cars for ADESA Car Auctions of Akron, N.Y. Bill was an avid fisherman, hunter and trap shooter and was a member of the Medina Conservation Club, the Barre Sportsman’s Club, and Cabin Range of Newfane. Bill was also a former New York State Bow Hunter Instructor who taught many local hunters.
Bill is survived by two sons, William D. (Justina) Brazzell of Medina and James (Lindsay) Brazzell of Barker; grandchildren, Kati (Jimmie) Foley, Austin (Kaydi) Brazzell, Zach Brazzell, Brianna Green, Brittney Ohol and Lexi Brazzell; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Jaxon; two sisters, Kathy Kickbusch of Medina and Maureen (Earl) Ruhlman of Medina; one niece and two nephews.
Besides his parents, Bill is predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathleen; and his brother-in-law, Perry Kickbusch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 3 at Holy Trinity Parish – St. Mary’s Church, with the Rev. Daniel J. Fawls celebrating. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery with full military honors.

Robert Trolley

He graduated from Albion High School and completed his bachelor’s degree at SUNY Morrisville.
A hardworking man, he spent much of his life farming Trolley Farms, as well as working at SUNY College at Brockport. After retirement, he traveled the country with his wife of 56 years, the late Donna (Bennett) Trolley, in their motorhome, creating lasting friendships and memories throughout their travels. He loved country music and was an avid New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan, keeping up with the latest sports news wherever he was.
He is survived by his companion, Donna Gaylord; his two children, Charles (Dawn) Trolley and Dawn (Doug) Rodas; three grandchildren, Erica (Mark) Kuntz, Brianna (Kenneth) Smith and Rhiannon Trolley; and four great-grandchildren, Klayton, Laylah, Julianna and Kinsley.
Private services were held.

Robert H. Parker

He worked for many years as a truck driver and retired from Rist Transport in Cheektowaga. He also worked as a union surveyor. Corky was a lifelong avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of ABATE. He was a longtime member of Lincoln Post #1483 VFW Auxiliary, and also the Junior Wilson Sportsman’s Club. Corky was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amy K. (Stilwell) Parker, whom he married on Aug. 11, 2001; five children, Bobbi Lynn Parker, Sunni (Eric) Surawski, Aaron (Tiffany) Parker, Elizabeth (Derrek) Parker and Stevie (Devon) Parker; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margey (Chip) Baysore and Carol (late Gary) Stevens; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends; and his special beagle, Lucky.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Sherri Ann Parker; and his grandson, Zachary Parker.

Edna Woolston
Longtime Gaines resident Edna Margaret (Ball) Woolston died Jan. 21, 2019 in Spencerport, surrounded by her family. She was 93.
Edna was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on April 4, 1925 to Colonel and Sylvia Ball and moved to Gaines as a young girl. She attended Albion schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1942. During six decades of life in Gaines, she and her husband, Bill, raised five children. She also spent a decade as town clerk before moving in 1993 to Alaska, where she and Bill lived for 20 years. When Bill passed away nearly six years ago, Edna moved back to New York and lived with her eldest daughter, Shari; and her son-in-law, Tom.
In addition to raising a large and loving family, Edna was an avid writer, having penned dozens of published newspaper columns and countless unpublished stories about her life in New York and Alaska and the family she so cherished. She also played piano and, in her younger years, sang in a quartet with her husband. She was beloved for her wit and sense of humor, even in her last days.
Edna was predeceased by her husband of nearly 70 years, William Woolston; her sister, Minnie; and her brother, Charles. She is survived by five children, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Her family includes daughter and son-in-law Shari and Tom Hicks of Spencerport, N.Y. and children Amy Hughson Banks, Laura Hughson Pinson, Chuck Hughson, Suzy Hicks and Sarah Hicks Lettis; daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Rick Smith of Gaines and children Jay, Aaron and Shawn Morrison; daughter and son-in-law Melanie and Andrew Schaffran of Katonah, N.Y. and children Lindsay and Brett Schaffran; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Brenda Woolston of Jensen Beach, Fla. and children Jennifer Jurs, Kimberly Thornton, Nicholas Woolston and Nicholas Brunston; and son and daughter-in-law Tim and Kristina Woolston of Anchorage, Alaska and children Savannah, Shelby, Noah and Charlotte Woolston.
A celebration of Edna’s life will be held Sat., July 20 at 10 a.m. at Gaines Congregational Church, 14023 Ridge Road, Albion NY 14411, which was built in the 1950s by Edna’s father and husband.

Donald Stewart Durow

He married the love of his life, the late Gwendolyn J. (Walters) Durow, on July 11, 1959. They have resided in the Lyndonville and Medina area since 1972.
As an avid trapper, Don enjoyed the outdoors as well as spending time with friends and family. He also had a heart for mentoring youth.
Don served his country in the US Army from 1960-1966. He retired from Monroe Electronics, Inc. in 1997 and was self-employed up until 2018. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lockport. For many years he served as a member of the Lyndonville Lions Club, participated in the Special Friends program in Albion, was a Nuisance Control Officer, and served as a teacher/mentor at youth trapper training camps.
Don is survived by his five children, Stephanie O’Brien of Virginia, Julie (Joseph) Hess of Lyndonville, Robert (Marianne) Durow of Batavia, Nancy (Paul) Fordham of Clyde, and Susan Durow of Lyndonville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, James (Haylie) O’Brien, Bennett O’Brien, Donovan O’Brien, Kenneth (Danielle) Hess, Kate Hess, Kevin Hess, William (Catherine) Durow, Tiffani Durow, Kimberly (John) Prell-Emmo, Christopher Prell, Rebecca (Andrew) Perl, Ashley (Jacob) Kuczynski, LeAnn (Peter) Houseknecht and Donald H. Durow.
Don is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, a brother, and two sisters as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by two grandsons, Christopher Durow and Robert Durow.
In celebration of Don’s life, a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 4169 Church Road, Lockport. Lorelei Steinberg Raduns

She was a 1967 graduate of Pembroke High School and 1971 graduate of Wyoming County Community Hospital School in Warsaw. Lorelei’s lifelong desire to help people led her to a nursing career at Genesee County Nursing Home, Batavia Nursing Home, Hospice of Orleans County and Medina Home Care, where she worked until her retirement.
Lorelei loved gardening, socializing, animals and caring for the elderly and under-privileged. She enjoyed travel and entertaining, and had a wonderful smile and sense of humor that could light up a room. Her home was also well known for its extravagant Christmas decorations.
Lorelei was predeceased by her parents, brother David and granddaughter Judith.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, John Raduns; her children, Ryan Steinberg of Corning, Matthew (Anne)Steinberg of Corfu, and Jason (Krissy) Raduns of Lyndonville; grandchildren, Benjamin Steinberg, Samantha Raduns and Reese Raduns; brothers-in-law, Tom (Brenda) Dubois and Gene Raduns; and brother, Brian (Gail) Stacy of East Pembroke. Lorelei will also be forever remembered by her numerous dear friends.

Scott N. Randall

Scott was a graduate of Kendall Central School and SUNY Brockport and was employed for many years at the Sutherland Group and most recently at Proofpoint. Scott attained the rank of Eagle Scout, was an avid comic and figurine collector, and creative genius, especially in theatrical arts.
Scott was predeceased by his father, Leon B. Randall in 2015. Scott is survived by his mother, Peggy Randall; and his brother, Alex Bain. Scott is also survived by his half-sister, Marie (Chad); niece, Shawna (Josh); nephew, Jeremy (Meg); and several great nieces and nephews. Other survivors include his uncle, Ken Rath (Gladys); aunt, Joan DeCarlo; cousins and many close friends.

Frances M. Weaver
Frances M. Weaver, 73, of Medina, went to be with the Lord on Fri., July 5, 2019 at Medina Memorial Hospital.
Born on April 28, 1946 in Kellmunz, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Trspiot) Osiecki.
Frances immigrated to the United States from Poland in 1951. She lived in Lyndonville until she met her late husband, Karl, whom she married on Aug. 12, 1967, and together they made their home in Medina. Frances was a devoted housewife and mother who attended Community Bible Church in Middleport and enjoyed bowling, puzzles, and word searches.
Frances is survived by her children, Katherine Lozo and John Weaver, both of Medina; her stepdaughter, Debbie (Blane) Becking of Medina; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Kenward of Medina; a niece, Nancy (Timothy) Pratt of St. Louis; and a nephew, Richard (Katherine) Weaver of Dallas.

Loretta Bartlett
Loretta “Toodles” Bartlett, 83, of Marion, N.Y., entered into rest peacefully with her family by her side on July 4, 2019.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Eleanor Daniels; her stepfather, Paul Bailey; and her daughter-in-law, Susan Bartlett.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Howard; children, Brian, Julie (Jerald) Winnett, Dale (Sandy) and Lori (Kevin) DeRidder; grandchildren, Amanda (Antoine), Jacob, Zachary (Kimberly), Benjamin, Megan, Mitchell, Austin and Spencer; great-granddaughter, Addison; brother, Francis (Evana) Daniels; sister, Linda (John) Chrzan; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Loretta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She was a devoted lifelong member of St. Gregory’s/Our Lady of Guadalupe, where she was the Sacristan for 20 years. Loretta also was a teacher’s aide at Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES and volunteered for Palmyra Ambulance.

Michael R. Boccaccio
Michael R. Boccaccio, 79, of Holley, died July 7, 2019 in Highland Hospital following a courageous five-year battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 23, 1940 in Albion to Joseph and Dora (DeLaura) Boccaccio and lived in this area his entire life.
Michael was a United States Army veteran and a member of the Jewell Buckman Post, American Legion of Holley. He was a faithful attendee of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Brockport, a member of the Holley Historical Society, and a member of the Holley Rod and Gun Club. Michael enjoyed shooting, hunting, fishing and reading, and he was a former mayor of the Village of Holley. As a person who was very family-oriented, Michael was a very driven genealogist.
He is survived by his wife of almost 36 years, Sharon; his son, Bobby (Mary) Boccaccio of Waterport; daughter, Colleen (Andrew) Young of Bergen; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Orto Jr. of Florida; sister-in-law, Jean Orto of North Chili; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Michael’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thu., July 11 at 11 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 152 Main St., Brockport NY 14420, followed by burial with military honors in Creekside Cemetery, Churchville.

She was a graduate of Royalton-Hartland High School class of 1960 and went on to earn a business degree from the Rochester Business Institute. She married the love of her life, Gene Monacell, on January 27, 1962.
Sally worked at FMC in Middleport as a secretary in research and went on to have a 34-year career as a bookkeeper at Barden Homes in Middleport. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. She enjoyed gardening and lawn work, trips to the casino and also her trips with “the golden girls.” Sally never missed one of her grandchildren’s events and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Gene Monacell; two daughters, Jan (Scott) Schickling and Kim (Tim) McPherson; three grandchildren, Justine (Dan) Weiss, Benjamin (fiancé Bailey Oberther) McPherson and Bradley (Molley Gross) McPherson; great-granddaughter, Lydia Faye McPherson; brother, Richard (Patricia) Dujenski; and sister in-law, Pamela (Anthony) Gawron.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 211 Eagle St., Medina. Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery, Gasport.

Ronald R. Porter

Ronald served his country in the US Marines from 1956-1959, retired from Harrison Radiator after 42 years of service and also loved horses.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert (Judith) Porter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nella; children, Kim (Kurt) Zunner, Mary Jo (Greg) Stewart and Ronald (Desiree) Porter Jr.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Marge) Porter; and several nieces and nephews.
Ron’s graveside service will be held at Hartland Central Cemetery, 8514 Ridge Rd. Gasport, on Wednesday, July 10, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094. James E. Brown

Jim was a lifetime member of the Middleport United Methodist Church and was also the Minister at the Bowmansville United Methodist Church. He was a volunteer fireman with the Middleport Fire Department and had worked for the Sweet Home School District for 34 years as an IT Specialist. Jim was a Batavia Muckdogs baseball fan, an avid hunter and loved animals, especially dogs.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his granddaughter, Maya.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Cheryl; step-son, Matthew (Nicole) Althoff; 3 grandsons, Brandon, Noah and Remington; sister, Judith Brown; and several aunts, uncles, cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Middleport United Methodist Church, 9 Park Ave. Middleport NY 14105, where his Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m.

Janice L. Cramer
KENT – Janice L. Cramer, 65, died July 5, 2019 in the Hildebrandt Hospice Residence in Rochester following a short illness. She was born March 3, 1954 in Buffalo to Frank and Lorraine (Matyjasik) Waz and had lived in this area over 23 years.
Janice was person who love country living, traveling, gardening and spending time doing research on her computer. She was a voracious reader and her love for animals (in particular Huskies) was paramount, especially sitting with her dog at Point Breeze.
Mrs. Cramer was predeceased by her husband Daniel in August of 2013.
She is survived by her father, Frank Waz of Akron, and many loving cousins.
There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend her inurnment service at Mt. Albion Columbarium, on Wednesday, July 17, beginning at 1 p.m.

Walter C. ‘Sonny’ Librock

After selling his dairy cows, Sonny started Librock Black Angus Beef Farm. He fostered relationships with many people as he would sell his products at many local farmers’ markets, schools, restaurants and businesses and stress the importance of family and how working together in a family business underscored the bonds of love and support that only a family can provide.
Mr. Librock is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judith; children, Randy (Kathie) Librock, Cynthia (Kevin) Barker, and Lorna (Doug) Seib; grandchildren, Brian, Robbie, Kelsey, Ayant, Eliza, Ella and Lucaiah; great-grandchildren, Quinton and Effie Mae; sisters, Helen Muck, Elsie Kocsis and Doris Criswell; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hartland Bible Church, 8110 West Ave., Gasport, where Walt’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
