William F. “Jamo” Jamieson

Bill was a member of the Middleport United Methodist Church. He was a teacher at Royalton Hartland School District for 32 years and had coached numerous sports; football being his favorite. He retired in 1997. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Tom; daughter-in-law, Kathy Jamieson; sons-in-law, Jeffrey Roloff and Robert Everett. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barb; his children: Vicki Everett, Richard (Laura Fritz) Jamieson, Julie Roloff, James Jamieson; grandchildren: Leslie (Elliott), Zackery, Kellie, Judd, Ben (Emily), Luke, John; his sister, Gail (Michael) Walker; brother-in-law, Phil (Ann) Thompson; sister-in-law, Kathy Jamieson; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
There are no prior calling hours. His memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Stephen V. Recco, Jr.

He attended Medina High School. He worked varies jobs. Stephen was very mechanically inclined. He was known for his contagious smile and big heart and was always willing to help others. Stephen enjoyed riding dirt bikes, four-wheeling, listening to music, loved going to the drag races and spending time with family and friends.
Predeceased by infant daughter, Stevie Recco; maternal grandparents, Sidney and Mildred Ward; paternal grandparents, Salvatore “Sam” and Claire Recco; and his beloved dog, Maggie.
Survivors include his mother, Chicky Moore; father, Steve Recco; sisters: Michelle Stupnick, Lisa (Dave) Wienke, Annie Recco, Jennifer Belcher and Tricia (Kevin )Belcher; brother, James Recco; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Stephen was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed. He was truly loved by everyone who met him.

Mary H. Stack
Mary H. Stack, 91, of Medina entered into rest on Oct. 4, 2020 at the Medina Memorial Hospital, Long Term Care Unit. Born Oct. 10, 1928 in North Collins, NY, Mary was a daughter of the late Hamilton and Gwendolyn (Burk) Hibbard.
She married Stanley Stack on May 3, 1947. She worked for New York Telephone Co., FMC, Grinnell-Feller Coal Oil Co., Peter Snell Real Estate, and retired from Canalside Realty in Albion as office manager/broker. Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Club Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens of Western Orleans. She enjoyed genealogy, bowling, knitting and doing crossword puzzles.
Beside her parents Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Ann Rowley, Dorothy Hannon and Myrna Ellis. Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Stanley Stack of Medina; daughter, Lisa (Christopher) Joseph of Missouri; granddaughter, Allison Joseph of N.C.; brother, Howard (Marcia) Hibbard of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal service will be held on Fri., Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medina. Memorial donations may be made to the Senior Citizen’s Center of Western Orleans. Betty A. Mason

She grew up on the family farm and graduated in 1955 from Medina High School. Betty worked as a housekeeper and maintenance worker for many years. She cleaned for various doctor’s offices, homes, Monroe Electronics in Lyndonville, Medina Memorial Hospital and also worked as a teacher’s aide at the Towne Elementary School. She was a longtime active member of the First Baptist Church in Medina and also belonged to #381 Order of the Eastern Star. Betty loved all animals, especially her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Mason; and sister, Jean Willgens.
Betty is survived by nieces and nephews, Barbara (Tom) Pritchard, Paula (Phil) Scimeca; Scott (Christine) Mason and Craig (Renee) Mason; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Her graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7th, at 10 a.m. at the Bates Road Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Stephenson, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Jean Smith

Jean was an active member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, where she was an officer in the Catholic Daughters and Ladies of Charity. She worked for many years on Planning and Zoning Boards for the Town and Village of Albion and was also an election inspector for more than 50 years.
Jean volunteered her time at various local organizations, including Hospice of Orleans and the Soup Kitchen. She also spent 26 years working at the Genesee Country Museum and many years for Gannett Newspaper in the Albion and Brockport regional offices. Jean enjoyed weaving and spinning, often times at the Erie County Fair Historical Building and when she had the time she loved to travel.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2005 and sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Col. Daniel) Bolas, Stephanie (David) Geibel and Kathleen (Gary) Spitz; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Mary Clouse; 3 nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Ave. Albion, NY 14411 on Thursday, October 8th, from 4 to 7 p.m. Jean’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church W. Park St. Albion, on Friday, October 9th, at 10 a.m. (Face masks and social distancing are mandatory at the funeral home and church). Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Roger A. Phillips

Born on April 15, 1953 in Medina, NY, he was the son of Virginia (Albone) Phillips and the late David Phillips.
Roger graduated from Medina High School in 1972 and in 1974 enlisted in the U.S. Army. In the time he was enlisted until his service ended in 1977, he was stationed in Germany, Ft. Myers, FL and served as an Old Guard in Arlington, VA as a Motor Trans Operator where he received the honor and privilege to escort President Ford.
Upon returning home, he was employed for many years with American Brake Shoes (ABEX) and Diaz Chemical of Holley, where he retired from. Roger was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Roger is survived by his mother, Virginia Phillips; two sons, Jeremy (Angela) Phillips and Roger (Nichole) Phillips II; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Rhiannon, Hayley, and Nolan Phillips. Roger is also survived by his sister, Karen Hale; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, Roger is predeceased by his best friend of 20+ years, Steve Gould.
There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family and burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Medina, with full military honors.

Christopher Alexander Schellenberg

Christopher is predeceased by his Oma and Opa, Mary and Kornelius Schellenberg.
He is survived by his grandparents, Art and Betty Westcott; mother, Dianna Nau (Kevin Nau); father, George Schellenberg (Gabriela) Schellenberg; fiancé, Gabrielle Reynolds; daughters, Eva and Lila; sisters, Julia (Ryan) and Lindsay Schellenberg; niece, Ariana; step brothers, Kevin Jr., Parker and Ethan; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Christopher will be lovingly remembered as a talented musician who expressed himself beautifully through sound, particularly with his guitar. He was a courageous and generous father, passionate partner and fiercely compassionate son. He was also fond of fishing and could often be found relaxing by the water.
A family gathering will be held on October 3, 2020 and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.

James L. Sliker

A veteran, James served with the United States Army. He worked as an assembly line worker at the Ford Stamping Plant in Blasdell. James also owned the Alaska Chocolate House in Fairbanks, Alaska, Della’s Chocolates in Medina and Agility Dream Dogs in Albion. He was a member of the American Legion and Double Q Agility Club.
Survivors include his wife, Della (Weatherbee) Sliker of Albion; sons, James Sliker, Jr. of Olean and Ron Sliker of Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Krystal Sliker of Georgia; a brother, Joe (Carol) Sliker of Pembroke; sisters, Mary (Monroe) Sommers of Corfu and Joan Hale of Medina; and several nieces and nephews.
James is a brother of the late George Sliker, Arlene Herod and Patricia Zetterberg.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Barbara J. “Joann” Vendetta

She was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Helms and grandson, Kevin J. Vendetta. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas J. Vendetta; three children: Dennis J. (Debra), Daniel T. (Ruth Ann) Vendetta and Gina D. (Michael) Bucolo; four grandchildren: Michael T. (Sara) Vendetta, Mathew T. Vendetta, Mario J. Bucolo and Samuel J. Bucolo; one great-granddaughter, Amelia R. Vendetta. Also surviving is a special cousin, Betty Jean Johnson; two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne A. Dickinson
Wayne A. Dickinson passed away on Wed., Sept. 30, 2020 in Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center. Born in Lockport on Dec. 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Wright Dickinson.
Wayne graduated from SUNY at Cobleskill with an Associates Degree. He retired from Orleans County, where he worked as a Health Inspector for many years. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, listening to music and watching the Buffalo Bills.He is survived by his siblings: Lynda Southcott, John (Judy) Dickinson and Robert Dickinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donald C. Harmer


Don enjoyed hunting and was also a longtime member of the Junior Wilson Sportsman’s Club in Medina. An active lifelong volunteer fireman, Don belonged to multiple fire departments in the area. He was a proud member of the Medina Fire Dept., Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Co. and the Shelby Volunteer Fire Co. Don’s selfless volunteering will gratefully be remembered by the community.

Gerald W. (Jerry) Kage

Gerald married Suzanne Kempf on August 15, 1970 in Evergreen Park, Ill., and together they raised their two children, Jeffrey and Tracy in Holley, N.Y. His professional career took him to Holley Jr/Sr High School where he taught for thirty-two years, seventeen of which were spent coaching. In 1978, Gerald was named Section V Coach of the Year and officially put the Holley Varsity Boys’ Soccer team on the map. He achieved his 100th career win over LeRoy on Sept. 10, 1982. Gerald was an active member of NYS Teacher’s Union and part of a negotiating team that brought about many changes for the Teachers of the district, which was one of his proudest achievements.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed golf, possessed amazing talents in the kitchen, and above all was passionate about car racing. He achieved his retirement goal of settling on a beautiful lake and spending quality time fishing and gardening.
Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Herman Kage; mother, Geraldine (Hamman) Kage; and brother, Harvey Kage. Gerald is survived by his wife of fifty years, Suzanne (Kempf) Kage; children: Jeffrey Kage (Cindy), Tracy Kage Johnson (Randy); siblings: Mary Kage Francis (Robert), John Kage (Ellie), Susan Kage Edmiston, Joseph Kage (Kim), Katherine Kage, and Peter Kage; grandchildren: Cameron Kage, Dylan Kage, Preston Kage, Owen Johnson; great-grandson, Lochlan Kage; and his beloved dog, Clark.

She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Gary Elder. Ronald Charles Mathes

Ron made countless friends throughout the course of his journeys, from growing up on a dairy farm to the many years in service to the USPS. Quick to smile and slow to anger, he shared his kindness with many that crossed his path. Ron was a voracious reader, skilled gardener and expert wordsmith that could often be found with his nose in a book, hands in the soil or hitting a triple word score in Scrabble. Ron also enjoyed listening to music and sharing his companionship with other members of the Albion Active Hose Company. He will be missed.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Robert. Stephen F. “Frank” Schubmehl

Frank was a former volunteer for the Caledonia Fire Deparment, a former member of the LeRoy BPOE Lodge, and was heavily involved in the Holley Community Center where he was active in the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. He was a very social person who took great pride and received great pleasure in watching and participating in the activities of his grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his children: Stephen (Robyn) Schubmehl of Holley, Karsonda Switzer of Ariz., Stephen (Wendy) Schubmehl of Nev., Susie (Ramon) Villanueva of Calif.; his brother, Richard Schubmehl of Retsoff, his sisters: Doris Bishop of Caledonia, Nancy Bishop of Retsoff, Linda Snyder of Caledonia; his cherished grandchildren: Stephen, Bailey, Deanna, Ramon, Sylvia, Veronica, Elizabeth; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Harvey A. Lyndaker

In his spare time Harvey enjoyed going on trips to ride ATVs or to go downhill skiing, tackling projects of any kind, listening to old school country music, and helping anyone who needed a hand. And eating popcorn, ice cream, donuts, and strawberry-rhubarb pie…
He also took great pleasure in making those around him smile – with his own brand of sarcasm and wit. He received the greatest joy spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. To know Harv, was to love Harv…

Ronald W. Patterson

Ron had served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. He attended Lakeshore Community Church in Rochester. He worked at Kodak for many years, retiring in 1999. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed golf, football, softball, baseball and was a die-hard New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. He loved camping, hunting and his fishing trips to Crooked Creek. Ron and his wife Mary loved to travel, some of his favorite places were Hawaii, Alaska and the Bahamas. But most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Winford and his brother-in-law, Michael Trimm. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; sons: Eric Patterson, Jason Patterson and Chris (Amy Brightly) Patterson; grandchildren: Molly, Caleb and Nicholas Patterson; sisters Darla Trimm, Gail (Daniel) Rice, Trudy (Raymond) Carrington; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger K. George

He graduated from Medina High School in 1962. Roger was born and raised on the family dairy farm on Marshall Road. He married the former Kathie A. Kyle on October 13, 1962 and together raised a family of four children. Roger loved his life of farming. He often commented that he “Never worked a day in his life”. Whether it was calmly tending to the cows, planting crops or mending fences, you could always find Roger with a friendly smile on his face.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathie George; four children, Kenneth R. George, Penny George, Randy (Rose) George and Brad (Leah) George; grandchildren, Ellie (Jason), Angelo, Jared, Marc (Deanna), Roger (Ayriel), Bella and Maria; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis (Lisa) George, Sam (Sue Ann) George and Debbie Crandall; and several nieces and nephews.

Jori A. Ludwick

Jori graduated from Albion High School in 1989 and served as Class President. She was involved in many of the school plays and was also the first eagle mascot at her school. Jori worked for many years as a coordinator for Orleans County Job Development in Albion. She loved dogs, especially her dog Pixie and for many years bred Lab Retrievers. Disney was her favorite place on earth. Jori enjoyed her morning coffee, music, gardening, nature and her 4-wheeler rides. She loved taking care of children and spending time with her family, especially her grandson Kyler who was the apple of her eye. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Madison (Joey) Standish; significant other, Steve Webster; step daughter, Brooke-Lynn (Cody) Dunn and their daughter Adaline; her brother, John (Danielle) Ludwick; nephew, Jack; niece, Ava; grandson, Kyler and one on the way; an aunt, uncle, cousins and many life-long friends.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Ave. Albion Thursday, October 1st, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church. Masks will be required when entering the funeral home and church. Wayne A. Dickinson passed away on Wed., Sept. 30, 2020 in Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center. Born in Lockport on Dec. 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Wright Dickinson.
