Staying undefeated Kendall shutout visiting Wheatland-Chili 4-0 in a Genesee Region League boys soccer game this evening.

Brenden Eichas scored two goals for Kendall as Pablo Rosario-Reyes and Brandon Barrett each had one.

Jonny Conte earned the shutout in goal.

The Eagles are now 5-0 in the league and 8-0 overall at the halfway point of the regular season.

Byron-Bergen 4, Lyndonville 1
Raul Morales scored Lyndonville’s goal off an assist from Colton Smith in the Tigers 4-1 G-R loss at Byron-Bergen.

Lyndonville is now 4-2 in G-R action.

Seven players scored goals as Akron blanked Medina 9-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game this evening at Vets Park.

Rilyn Snyder and Kylie Karmazyn both scored two goals for the Lady Tigers as Olivia Novak, Brooke Warren, Hannah Liss, Clara Bogdan and Naomi Romesser each netted one.

Akron is now 2-2-1 and Medina 0-3 in N-O action.

Roy-Hart 2, Newfane 1
Roy-Hart improved to 4-1 in N-O action with a 2-1 win over Newfane.

Maria Trombley scored both goals for the Lady Rams as Ruth Walker and Kaylie Churchill had the assists.

Stephanie Chunco scored Newfane’s goal on a penalty kick.

Wilson 7, Albion 0
Front running Wilson shutout Albion 7-0 to improve to 4-0.

N-O Boys Soccer
League leading Wilson improved to 4-0 with a 12-0 win over Albion which slips to 1-2-1 and Roy-Hart lost to Newfane 4-1.

Aidan Neumann scored 6 goals for Wilson.

Getting back onto the winning track, Medina rolled to a 6-0 win at Akron in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game this afternoon.

Aleks Seefeldt scored two goals as Luke Duffina, Caden Kingsbury, Aidan Papaj and Izzy Anderson each chipped in with one for Medina which bounced back from last week’s 4-1 loss to front running Wilson.

Seefeldt, Anderson, Kingsbury, Vinny Gray, Owen Sargent and Colvin Poole each had an assist.

River Jones earned the shutout in goal as Duffina, Sargent, Ryan Pegelow and Jimmy Dieter anchored the defense.

The Mustangs are now 3-1 and the Tigers 1-2 in N-O action.

Roy-Hart scored a straight set 25-8, 25-23, 25-22 win over Lockport in a non league volleyball match this evening.

Grace Pearl had 11 kills, Lauren Snyder 8 kills and 4 aces, Zoe Healy 4 kills, Peyton May 6 aces and Ryleigh Capen 25 assists to lead the way for the Lady Rams.

Byron-Bergen 25-25-25, Albion 18-10-8
Byron-Bergen bested Albion 25-18, 25-10, 25-8 in another non league volleyball match.

Anna Grillo had 2 aces and 24 digs for Albion.

Roy-Hart put a lock on outright possession of the Niagara-Orleans League golf championship with a 221-269 victory over Medina this afternoon.

The N-O title is the first since 1986 for Roy-Hart which improves to 11-0.

Gavin Heideman took medalist honors with a 39 for the Rams as Evan Poeller and Blake Stahl both shot 43.

Cam Fike had a 41 and Tyler Draper a 46 to lead Medina.

In other N-O action, Albion downed Barker 232-255.

Drew Pritchard took medalist honors with a 42 for Albion as Gavin Boyce shot 45, Owen Spencer 47 and Luke Bedford 48.

JJ Prynn had a 46 and Hudson Prynn a 49 for Barker.

Albion is now 8-2.

Five players who played key roles in the Holley girls varsity soccer team’s success over the last few years have reunited this season on the Genesee Community College women’s soccer team.

The Holley quintet includes sophomore midfielders Sam Bates and Emma Brady, sophomore defender Isabella Thom and freshman forwards Alivia Wolf and Alexia Renner.

Bates has 7 goals and 2 assists to date while Brady has 2 goals and 6 assists, Thom 2 goals and Wolf and Renner 1 goal each.

Overall the GCC roster includes a total of 14 former Genesee Region League players.

That large G-R contingent includes Natalie Prinzi, Janessa Amesbury and Ava Gray from Byron-Bergen; Alexis Marine, Eva Heineman and Carly Burgess from Alexander, Cayleigh Havens and Nina Barts from Notre Dame and Piper Hyde from Oakfield-Alabama.

GCC is off to a 4-1 start to the season.

A double bogey on the first hole this morning proved to be tough to overcome as Medina’s Melanie Green finished in a tie for 12th at the Epson Tour’s Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout which concluded today at El Dorado, Arkansas.

Green’s busy day started by playing the final two holes of the second round which was suspended by darkness on Saturday.

She started the morning at even par for the tournament but quickly went to 2 over after posting a double bogey on her first hole, No. 17. Rebounding she pared 18 to finish the second round at 2 over.

That set the stage for the tourney closing third round during which she alternated birdies and bogeys to finish the round with a 1 under par 71. She had birdies on 5, 11 and 18 and bogeys on 8 and 15.

She finished the tourney with a 1 over par total of 217 and tied for 12th with some of the field still on the course.

Next up for Green will be the Epson Tour’s season ending championship tournament in California in early October.

Beginner Division

Kenny Almonte rushed for 230 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Beginner Eagles. Gunner Jackson picked up 20 yards and Xavier Weis 12 yards on the ground. Jackson also passed for 33 yards, Weis had 30 yards receiving.

Almonte had 11 tackles for the Eagles defense. Lexington Pridgen made 8 tackles, Weis 5, Matthias Ellis 4, Myles Labarge and Jaxon Francis 3 each. Artavion Lewis, Drake Neri and Gunner Jackson 2 each.

Mini Division
BRH 13, Albion 0

Moses Taylor led the offense with 57 yards on the ground. Greyson Roberts picked up 55 yards and Jaidyn Harper 54 on the ground.

Chase Armer, Harper and Mason Cornick led the defense with 5 tackles a piece. Roberts, Taylor, Romyn Tisdale and Zeus Vallejo had 3 each. Hudson Palmer and Elijah Cornick were in on 2 each.

JV Division
Albion 42, Barker/Roy-Hart 0

Damareon Shine returned the opening kickoff 61 yards for a touchdown and the JV Eagles never looked back.

Jayce Torres rushed for 92 yards and a score. AJ Lewis III had a 75 yard TD run. Kaydence Russaw added a touchdown run as well.

Lincoln Voorhees had 54 yards receiving and a TD. Kayden Brigham had a 3 yard TD reception from Jace DiMatteo.

Lewis III led the defense with 8 tackles, Kairo Bennett had 7, Cayden Farrell 6, and Shine 5. Matthew Colmerero and Torres 3 each. Harrison Froman, Roman Allport, Kyle Schomske, Isaac Button and Sebastian Stritzinger 2 each. Arkell Lewis, Kenny Witcroft, Russaw, Parker Gardner and Blaze Worrells were each in on stops.

Albion will host Oakfield Elba at Bullard Park, Saturday 11,1 and 3pm.
