Braxton Thomas and Braylen Jacob Fleck
Braxton Thomas and Braylen Jacob Fleck, infant sons of Thomas Fleck and Felecia Livingston of Albion, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2019. In addition to their parents, they are survived by their maternal grandparents, Samantha (Michael) Dimartino of Albion and John (Mary) Livingston of Kenmore; paternal grandparents, Tammy Fleck of Albion and Thomas Roth of Brockport; maternal great-grandfather, Cecil Livingston of Medina; paternal great-grandmother, Wendy “Nana” Goodwin of Albion; aunts and uncles, Val “God Mother” (Dean Covis) Livingston, John “God Father” (Erica) Livingston Jr., Brandie Kropp, Michael Dreilling, Victoria Fleck, Brooke Toal, Blake Toal, and Alyssa Adkins; good friend, Savanna Read; as well as several great-aunts and great-uncles.

Lynn S. Humble
Lynn S. Humble, 68, of Barker, entered into rest on June 2, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Born Oct. 8, 1950, Lynn was a daughter of the late Norman L. Bennett and Dorothy M. (Rupert) Hiller. She was a 1968 graduate of Starpoint High School. She worked for Harrison Radiator/ Delphi Thermal Systems in Lockport for 30 years and retired in 2002. Lynn enjoyed shopping and going to garage sales and estate sales. Lynn will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Ron) Burke of Medina; her grandson, Nicolas Burke; sister, Jenny (Don) Barone; brother, Dan Hiller; brother-in-law, George Loftus; and nieces and nephew, Michelle, Deanna, Dylan, Jason and Jessie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Norma Loftus.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda.

Velma L. Hale
Velma L. Hale, 85, of Gasport, passed away on June 4, 2019 following a long illness. She was born in Buffalo to Erwin and Dorothy (Taylor) Chase. She married the love of her life, Clarence Hale Sr., in October 1969.
Velma enjoyed painting ceramics, making porcelain dolls, doing puzzles, and playing cards and computer games.
For 29 years, she was employed as a welder at Harrison Radiator, and she retired in 1989.
Velma was predeceased by her husband, Clarence; her brother, Ralph Chase; her son, Ralph Haas; and her stepdaughters, Norma Huntington, Shirley Butterson and Diane Carlin.
Velma is survived by her sons, Bruce (Patricia) Haas of Pennsylvania, Keith (Brenda) Hale of Lockport, Clarence “Sege” Hale Jr. of Lockport, and Brian (Kari) Hale of Indiana; her daughter, Crystal (Steve Hedrick) Hale of Lockport; stepsons, Clarence “Bunny” (Patricia) Stoddard of Pendleton and Terry Hale of Florida; stepdaughter, Sharon Hale of Alabama; daughter-in-law, Lynna Mayes of South Carolina; 28 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Fri., June 7 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sat., June 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Sherrie-Bream Funeral Home, 4521 Main St., Gasport, where her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. following visitation. Interment will follow in Huskey Cemetery.

Milford S. Dunn
Milford S. Dunn, 90, of Lyndonville, went to be with the Lord on Wed., June 5, 2019 at the Martin-Linsin Residence, Albion.
Born on Feb. 11, 1929 in Alabama, N.Y., he was the son of the late Samuel and Madeline (McKay) Dunn.
Milford graduated from Medina High School in 1947 and married the former Joan E. Pringle on April 16, 1949. Together, they made their home in Lyndonville, where they raised three daughters. Milford worked as a supervisor for Lyndonville Canning Company/Bowman Apple Products. He retired after 27 years of service to Bowman. He was a member of Yates Baptist Church, holding the positions of deacon, trustee and treasurer. Milford was a former Lyndonville Village Board member and a former Lions Club member. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and spending time with his family. Milford was a kind and gentle man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Milford is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Joan E. Dunn; three daughters, Christine (Danny) Krisher of Medina, Patricia (Paul) Spaeth of Olean, and Janice (Randy) Heideman of Medina; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Ray (Barbara) Dunn of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Milford is predeceased by a grandson, Jon Krisher; a brother, Marvin Dunn; and a sister, Jane Jones.
Relatives and friends may call on Fri., June 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Yates Baptist Church, 11365 E. Yates Center Road, Lyndonville NY 14098, where a celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. with the pastor, Rev. Lyell Drake, officiating. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.

Joseph R. Russo
Joseph R. Russo passed into eternal life peacefully on June 1, 2019. He was born June 11, 1947 to the late Joseph M. Russo and Jennie (Folino) Russo.
He is survived by Debra (McCauley) Russo and their two children, Anthony J. Russo and Kelly (Russell) Duffield; grandchildren, Brody, Brett and Aubrey Hoffmeister, and Eden, Francesca and Charlotte Russo; and great-grandchildren, Nathan, Alaina and Brayden Hoffmeister, and Kolton Cooke.
Joe graduated in the Medina class of 1965 and served from 1966 to 1968 in the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed curb setter by trade, and he operated P+J Construction. Joseph was co-founder of Rudy’s Diner in 1988, along with Debra. Joe loved playing cards, and having his morning coffee at Rudy’s with the guys. Joe had a love for older cars, and for going to flea markets and garage sales.
There will be no calling hours, and a family burial will be set at a later date.

Patricia L. Dupre
Patricia L. (Leppla) Dupre, of Holley, passed away on June 3, 2019.
She is survived by her children, Lisa (Frank) Saeva and Debra Ford; and her grandchildren, Michelle Gleason, David Saeva, Lauren (Brendan) Harriff, Andrea Saeva and Kyle Ford.
Born Dec. 5, 1944 in Rochester, Pat spent most of her adult life living in Holley while working in the Rochester area. After spending many years working in the business world, she was in her late 50s when she decided to make a career change. After noting that her daughters, both registered nurses, loved their profession, she pursued the opportunities available to her in the health care field by becoming a certified nursing assistant and began working in long term care. As a passionate advocate for elders, she then pursued and achieved another goal when she became a licensed practical nurse at the age of 62. She then worked in long term care and private duty cases until her retirement.
Pat was an avid and skilled markswoman who excelled in the area of shooting sports, specifically skeet. She spent many years as a member of the Four Point Rod and Gun Club and the Conesus Sportsman’s Club. She traveled across New York State and into other states to participate in shooting meets, including the World Championships. Pat had a deep love of animals and supported animal rescue efforts. She loved arts and crafts and exercised her talents while participating in craft shows around the area, and she also donated items for the fundraising efforts of others.
In addition to her family, Pat is survived by her longtime special friends, Charlene and Art Sielaff of Holley, and Dana and Dawn Driscoll of Honeoye Falls.
The family will receive friends at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 Route 31, Holley, on Fri., June 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.

Mark David Kinsey
Mark David Kinsey, 35, of Holley, died unexpectedly June 1, 2019 in his home. He was born Jan. 9, 1984 in Albion to Charles and Leigh (Ashbery) Kinsey and was a lifelong resident of this area.
Mark was a member of the Rochester Koinonia, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mark had an amazing gift that allowed him to create masterful food in the kitchen. In addition to having a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious smile, he had the ability to always make you feel better after being around him. He had a plethora of “special” catch phrases and was one of the most generous and thoughtful people you would ever want to meet. Above all, he loved his entire family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kinsey was predeceased by his son, Abel Christian Kinsey.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Leigh Kinsey of Holley; his siblings, Anna (Douglas) Kemp of Delmar, Charles (Melissa) Kinsey of Brockport, Thomas (Jodie) Kinsey of Batavia, and Michael (Jennifer) Kinsey of Holley; his extra-special girlfriend, Christina Molaro; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Wayne M. Kyle
Wayne M. Kyle, 67, of Shelby Center, entered into rest on Sun., June 2, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
Born Oct. 18, 1951 in Medina, Wayne was the son of the late Melvin and Violet (Ribbeck) Kyle. He graduated from Medina High School in the class of 1971. Wayne was self-employed as a carpenter/contractor and specialized in fine woodwork. He has left his mark of quality woodworking in many homes throughout the area, including extensive work in the funeral home in which his services will take place, Cooper Funeral Home. Wayne was a true craftsman who took great pride in his work, which was evident in his attention to detail. He taught the shop class at Forrestel Farms in Shelby, teaching children the trade of woodworking, and was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 32 in Medina for many years. Wayne also enjoyed camping and, especially, spending time with his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Laura E. (Putt) Kyle; four children, Wayne C. (fiancée Cindy Gargula) Kyle, James (Sara) Kyle, Joseph (Lori) Kyle and Kimberly Kyle; five grandchildren; three sisters, Deborah (David) Carmer, Diane (Gary) Arndt and Beverly (William) Putt; six nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Fri., June 7 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. A private graveside committal service will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.

Arlene M. Bensley
Arlene M. Bensley, 76, of Tonawanda and formerly of Medina, entered into rest on Fri., May 31, 2019 at the Buffalo Hospice Residence in Cheektowaga.
She was born March 17, 1943 in Medina, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Nowak) Dujenski. She graduated from Medina High School, class of 1961. She worked for General Motors Tonawanda Powertrain Plant as an assembly line supervisor. Arlene retired from General Motors and went on to earn an associate degree from SUNY at Brockport. She was a member of St. Timothy’s RC Church in Tonawanda and VFW Post #812 Ladies Auxiliary in El Paso, Texas, and she also volunteered her time for the Republican Association. Arlene loved her family, her children, her grandchildren, and her dog, Dori. She also enjoyed her soap operas, judge shows, “The Voice,” and her Facebook time.
Besides her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Dujenski; brother in-law, Leonard Fraczak; and nephew, Andrew Fraczak.
She is survived by her son, Gerald (Lynn) Bensley; daughters, Sandra Bensley and Tamara (Arnie) Allen; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; former husband, George Bensley; sister, Lucretia Fraczak; sister in-law, Sandy Dujenski; several nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Melissa Rider and family.

Frederick E. Grant
Frederick E. “Ted” Grant, 82, of Medina, passed away on April 5, 2018. Mr. Grant served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1974 and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Mickey was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the St. Mary’s Club and the Albion VFW, and she was a retiree from Albion Correctional Facility.
Mickey was predeceased by her first husband, Russell Williams; second husband, Donald M. Rocco; and sister, Marilyn Morris.

Joyce E. Bensley

Joyce was a member and past president of the Albion Sheret Post #35 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Holley VFW Post #202 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Holley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at G.E. and Owens Illinois in Brockport and was also a bus driver for the Holley Central School District.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ross Gaylord; her second husband, James Pratt; her stepson, Larry Pratt; and her brother, L. Charles Atkinson.
She is survived by her husband, George Bensley; sons, Stephen (Kathleen Leonard) Gaylord of Arizona and Scott (Janet Tanner) Gaylord of Carlton; stepchildren, Gerald (Lynn) Bensley, Sandra Bensley, Tamara (Arnie) Allen, Victoria Pratt and Cheryl Pratt; grandchildren, Brieann, Lucian Allen and Daniel; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louise (Piedmonte) McGrath
Louise McGrath, 99, of Albion and Holley, passed away May 31, 2019 at the Martin-Linsin Hospice Residence. She was born March 14, 1920 in Holley, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Yoffredo) Piedmonte.
Louise was an active member of Holley First Baptist Church, and she also volunteered her time for the TWIG Association at the former Lakeside Memorial Hospital. She was a former employee of Eugene Lester Attorney in Holley, and of Brockport College. Louise loved knitting, crocheting, gardening, and flowers. She also loved making baby clothes, especially baby hats.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; son, Ronald; and brothers, Mike Piedmonte, Ben Piedmonte, Hank Piedmonte, Daniel Piedmonte, James Piedmonte and Eugene Piedmonte.
She is survived by her sons, Harlan (Julie) McGrath and Kevin (Debra) McGrath; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Service and interment at Hillside Cemetery will be private.

Robert E. Reisch
Robert E. Reisch, 90, of Hamlin and Rochester, died May 30, 2019 peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 28, 1928 in Southington, Conn., the son of Otto and Minnie (Weckworth) Reisch, and he lived in this area for many years.
Rob was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kendall and served as pastor of several Lutheran churches, including those in Richmondville, Port Jervis, Rome and Dunkirk. He was also a member and chaplain of the Hamlin Volunteer Fire Department, and he served in many other volunteer fire companies along his journey. He was very active in church activities wherever he was serving and was especially active in church gatherings at the synod level. Rob enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards, and puzzle solving, and he was a passionate volunteer at the Loaf and Ladle community dinners held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Holley.
Mr. Reisch was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey; his sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Dutch Weber; and his sister-in-law, Kathryn Reisch.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil; his daughter, Jennifer (Jim Chapman) Reisch of Rochester; his brother, John Reisch of Connecticut; his grandchildren, Theo and Roxy; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Rob’s memorial service on Sat., June 8 at 11 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, Kendall. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family in South End Burying Ground, Southington, Conn.

Paula E. Hill
Paula E. Hill, 86, of Buffalo and Medina, entered into rest on Mon., May 27, 2019 at Buffalo General Hospital after a very short illness.
Born June 1, 1932 in Renovo, Pa., she was a daughter to the late George E. and Wilimina H. (Ohlander) Toot. Paula worked as an apartment manager for senior housing in California. She also was a foster mother for the State of California and a caregiver for the elderly in Buffalo, N.Y. for many years. Paula was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Medina and Senior Citizens of Western Orleans. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and playing euchre. Paula enjoyed visiting with her family. Family was everything to her.
She is survived by her sister, Luella Jane Umstead; brother, Walter Toot; three daughters, Anna Chiavetta-Morales of California, Betty Davis of Waterport and Charlene Schmidt of Buffalo; and a very large extended family of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Jasper “Rusty” Payne in 2006 and Fred Hill in 2014; and siblings, Wilimina “Billie” Emma Putman, Georgeanna Lowery, Susan Delaney and Ralph Toot.
A graveside service will be held on Fri., May 31 at 1 p.m. at Boxwood Cemetery in Medina. A memorial service will take place on Sun., June 16, with details to be announced.

Shellsea Lee Moyer
Shellsea Lee Moyer, 23, of Rochester, died suddenly May 26, 2019. Shellsea was born Aug. 21, 1995 in Rochester, a daughter of Cathy Moyer and Dean Steiner, and stepfather Michael Meyer. Shellsea enjoyed her rats, dog and cat, but she really loved her family.
She is survived by her son, Anthony; siblings, Tina (Rob) Pazyck, Jason (Jessica) Moyer, Suzzette (Nick) Meyer and Jakob Cruz; grandmother, Joanne Miller; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lewis P. Wright
Lewis P. Wright, 55, of Lockport, passed away on May 20, 2019 after a brave, fierce fight against cancer. Born July 14, 1963 in Newfane, he was the son of Lorraine (Madriska) Shelton of Newfane and the late Lawrence Wright.
Lewis earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport and owned and operated The Wright Clerk of the Works Team Inc., construction management, for 20 years. Most notably, some of his projects were with the Medina School District, renovating the athletic house, and with the Lockport City School District. Lewis was an avid bowler who achieved a perfect 300. He was a passionate golfer and a member of Shelridge Country Club. He loved spending time on his boat, watching his Boston Bruins, attending concerts at Artpark, and his two beloved cats, Big Daddy and little Missy. Lewis was full of life and love, ever giving and caring. He was an inspiration to anyone he met and for all who knew and loved him. For Lewis, “it is all good.”
Besides his mother, Lewis is survived by his siblings, Larry (Joanne) Wright of Canandaigua and Lorrie (Gregory Maguire) Wright of Boston, Mass.; niece, Brianna Wright; nephew, Corey Wright; his longtime girlfriend, Teresa Burton; dearest friend, Gladys Kitchell of Burlington, Mass.; and family, Jennifer (Michael) Gledhill, Jaclyn (Billy) Forbes and Joelle (Mikey) Fuller.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Lorraine and Patrick Madriska; and his uncle, Patrick Madriska Jr. of Lockport.

Born Dec. 3, 1932 in Albion, she was the daughter of the late LaVerne and Beatrice Plummer Eddy. On June 6, 1992, she married Norm Whitman, who survives her.
Barbara worked as an LPN for the former St. Francis Hospital, and later for Olean General Hospital. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and an avid golfer.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Steven Coffey of Vestal, N.Y., Paula (James) Bardenett of Olean, Pamela (Georges) Coffey Marceau of Cato, N.Y., and Scott (Paula) Derwick of Olean; seven grandchildren, Ian and Erin Coffey, Abbey and Jon Bowser, and Alexander, Hannah and Liyah Derwick; one great-grandson, Cohen Burton; her siblings, Albert (Margaret) Eddy of Medina, Robert (Carol) Eddy of Albion, Donald (Donna) Eddy of Clinton, N.Y., Beverly Dudley of Albion, Gail Clark of Albion, and Mary (Russell) Kingdollar of Albion; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Fri., May 31 at 11 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 633 Linwood Ave., Olean.

Scott C. Merritt
Scott C. “Scooter” Merritt, 37, of Albion, passed away peacefully on Thu., May 23, 2019 at Highland Hospital, Rochester, N.Y.
Born on July 28, 1981, he was the son of Charles “Chuck” and Barbara (Sledzik) Merritt.
Scott graduated from Medina High School in 1999 and worked at several local businesses, including with his father at Chuck’s Landscaping, at Buffalo Federal Detention Center in Batavia, and at Markin Tubing in Wyoming. Scott was a devoted father who enjoyed spending time with his sons. He loved the outdoors, especially while watching bonfires and concerts.
Besides his parents, Scott is survived by his siblings, Brittany Merritt of Davenport, Fla. and Michael Merritt of Medina, Alicia Canne of Holley and her three children, McKenna, Gianna and Tommy; two sons, Brayden and Ronan Merritt of Warsaw, N.Y.; and an uncle, Bill Merritt of Medina.
As per Scott wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Floyd James Hanes

Floyd loved golf and soccer. He graduated in 1994 from Holley High School, where he played soccer on a team that won the state championship. Earning a soccer scholarship to play at MCC, Floyd attended and received his associate degree in accounting.
In addition to his parents, Carl and Kim, Floyd is survived by his brother, Richard Hanes of Holley; his niece, Nadia; aunts, Doreen Hanes of Florida, Chris Habicht of Pennsylvania, Bambi Garner of Pennsylvania, Janice Nicely of North Tonawanda, and Carolyn Walko of Pennsylvania; his uncle, Robert Kryk of Arizona; as well as many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his uncle, Steven Tucker.
The family will receive friends on Fri., May 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., 16650 State Rte. 31, Holley, where his Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m.
