Photos by Cheryl Wertman – With the season openers just over a week away local youth football squads have been busy at practice this week. Here at an Albion practice a couple of linemen practice their blocking technique. In all a dozen area communities will be fielding teams for NOFA (Niagara Orleans Football Association) competition this season including Albion, Medina, Roy-Hart, Holley, Oakfield/Elba, Newfane, Attica, Tri Town (Alexander) Batavia, Alden and Pembroke. There will be four divisions of competition, Ponies, Mini, JV and Varsity. The local August 18th openers will have Albion at Holley, Oakfield/Elba at Medina and Tri Town at Roy-Hart.
