Youth football season opens Saturday
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – The local youth football season will begin on Saturday and in preparation Giovanni LaMartina of the Albion Mini team picks up yardage during a practice session this week. Saturday’s season opening Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) matchups will have Albion at Batavia, Medina at Newfane, Holley at Tri-Town, Roy-Hart/Barker at Pembroke and Attica at Oakfield/Elba as Akron draws the bye. NOFA competition will again this year include games in four divisions – Beginners, Mini, JV and Varsity.
