Youth football season kicks off
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Hot, sunny weather greeted this afternoon’s Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) season openers. Here Medina Broncos running back Tavarias Griffin breaks loose for a big gain during the JV Division game against Oakfield-Elba at Vets Park. Medina hosted Oakfield-Elba in the Beginner, Mini and JV Division games and Newfane in the Varsity Division contest.
Medina Broncos running back Jude Lacy tries to break loose from a tackle. Today’s other NOFA openers had Akron at Roy-Hart/Barker, Pembroke at Batavia, Attica at Newfane and Tri Town at Holley as Albion drew the bye. Albion will host Medina next Saturday.
