Youth football playoffs get underway

Post season playoff action got underway Saturday for the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) with a slate of semifinal round games at Vets Park.
In a JV Division contest Attica defeated Albion 28-6.
LJ Simmons led the Albion offense with 42 yards rushing. Christopher Almonte scored on a 1 yard TD run in the first quarter.
Almonte again led the defense with 10 tables and a fumble recovery. Wyatt Cook, Luke Bedford, Simmons and Stryker Sanders each had 4 tackles and Boe Preston had a interception for the Little Eagles.
In a varsity Division game Batavia edged Medina 8-0.
