Youth football playoffs begin Saturday

A dozen teams, competing in three divisions, will be in action Saturday for the semifinal round of the Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) playoffs at Medina’s Vets Park.

The Mini Division will kickoff the action at 9 a.m. with No. 2 seed Holley vs. No. 3 Batavia followed at 11 a.m. by No. 1 Newfane vs. No. 4 Albion.

The JV Division contests will have No. 2 Oakfield/Elba vs. No. 3 Tri Town at 1 p.m. and No. 1 Albion vs. No. 4 Medina at 3 p.m.

The Varsity Division will then have No. 2 Akron vs. No. 3 Roy-Hart at 5 p.m. followed by No. 1 Medina vs. No. 4 Newfane at 7 p.m to conclude the busy day of football competition.

The winners advance to the October 29 championship games.
