Youth baseball teams begin practice
Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Some three months after practices normally begin, youth baseball, softball and soccer teams were allowed to begin play as of today with the easing of some of the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions. Ready and anxious to finally get some diamond action in players from Albion’s Sandstone 7-9 and 10-12 age group teams here practice this evening at Sandstone Park. Sandstone is one of five Albion teams, which along with a Medina squad, are looking to play an Orleans County Short Season League schedule beginning at the end of this month.
Some 30 players from Albion, Medina, Lyndonville and Kendall were on hand at the Barre Town Park this evening for the first practice session for players interested in participating in a new Orleans County 13-16 age group baseball program.
