Wrestling Officials Association honors Ossont

Three decades of service and contribution to the sport of wrestling was recognized this afternoon as Bill Ossont was honored by the Western New York Wrestling Officials Association prior to the start of the championhip round at the annual Niagara-Orleans League Torunament held at Medina. The location was fitting as Ossont coached the Medina wrestling squad to a string of N-O titles during the 1970’s before beginning a 36 year career as a referee. He retired as a wrestling official last year. He is shown here at the award presentation with his wife Pat, one of his sons, John and his wife Jennifer and their two children Andrew and Jillian.
