The Vets Park turf was a beehive of activity this afternoon as several hundred Oak Orchard Elementary students took part in a lively program conducted by several players from the Western New York Flash women’s professional soccer team as part of the Let’s Move! Active Schools campaign. Here Chelsea Stewart, right center in black, of the Flash leads a large circle of students through a series of exercises.

Flash player Jaelene Hinkle, center, here watches the action as a large group of students get plenty of exercise racing after a soccer ball.

The Oak Orchard students here gather to hear the opening comments from the Flash players who spoke about the importance of staying active, healthy eating and working toward goals. The players stressed to the students how physical activity is important to them and how it has helped them become professional athletes.
