Winter weather advisory on Friday with 4 to 7 inches of snow expected

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a winter weather advisory on Friday for Western New York.

The advisory for Orleans, Niagara and Monroe counties goes from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. and forecasts 4 to 7 inches of snow for those counties with winds gusting up to 35 miles per hour.

“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the Weather Service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.”

Saturday there is a chance for snow showers but will be mostly sunny with a high near 29. Sunday’s forecast will be mostly cloudy with a high near 33.
