A winter weather advisory is in effect today in Orleans County and Western New York until 7 p.m.

The combination of ice this morning and snow this afternoon will result in difficult travel conditions. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth are expected, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.

Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while driving, the Weather Service said.
