The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Orleans and Niagara counties from 6 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Lake effect snow is expected with total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow, reducing visibility for motorists, the Weather Service said.
