Winter storm warning from this evening through 1 p.m. Tuesday
‘Travel could be very difficult to impossible’
This map from the National Weather Service in Buffalo shows a widespread winter storm is expected for Western New York and beyond.
A winter storm warning is in effect for Orleans County, Western New York and much of New York State, including the northern and central parts of the state. In Orleans County, the warning starts at 7 p.m. today and continues until 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
Heavy snow is expected with total accumulations of 7 to 14 inches.
“Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” the Weather Service said. “Areas of blowing snow along the south shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning commute.”
