Wind advisory in effect today until 7 p.m.

A wind advisory is in effect today until 7 p.m. for Orleans County and Western New York.

There will be southwest winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, the Weather Service said. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”

Today’s forecast calls for a high of 63 with a tenth to a quarter inch of rain.

The highs in the following days include 38 and sunny on Sunday, 56 and mostly cloudy on Monday, 49 and mostly cloudy on Tuesday and 68 with showers on Wednesday.
