Wind advisory in effect Friday for Orleans, WNY

A wind advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Orleans County and much of Western New York for Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be southwest winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 mph expected. The gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, the Weather Service said.

The highs for the next three days include 56 on Friday, 46 on Saturday and 46 on Sunday.
