Wind advisory in effect for Orleans County
A wind advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. today until 6 p.m. Friday for Orleans, Monroe, Wayne and northern Cayuga counties.
There will be westerly winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 mph, the National Weather Service in Buffalo said.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” according to the Weather Service. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”
The Weather Service urges extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
