Wind advisory for Orleans tonight through Friday morning

A wind advisory is in effect from 11 tonight through 10 a.m. on Friday for Orleans, Niagara, Genesee, Erie and Chautauqua counties.

There will be westerly winds from 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 mph, said the National Weather Service in Buffalo. The gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, the Weather Service said.

Today there is a high of 49 degrees with the temperatures dropping to 34 on Friday. Saturday there will be a high of 44, followed by Sunday’s high near 42, according to the Weather Service.
