Wilson tops Medina in N-O softball

Scoring in five different innings, Wilson posted a 15-6 victory over Medina this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League make-up softball game at Vets Park.

Lauren Couturier had 4 hits and Taylor Cyphert 3 to lead the Wilson attack as Jenn Darlak and Anthonena Delisi both had doubles.

The Lakewomen scored 4 runs in both the third and seventh innings and three in the fifth frame.

Medina scored 4 times in the fifth as Alisha Scroger had a triple and Allison Bensley and Davina Birch singles.

Wilson improves to 8-5 and Medina slips to 7-6.

The two teams will meet again at Wilson on Wednesday in a regularly scheduled game to close out the N-O season.

Medina defeated Wilson 17-5 in the JV game as Brooklyn Brown had 4 hits.

Davina Birch makes a catch for the Mustangs in left field.
