Wilson/Newfane nips R-H/Barker/ Medina
The RoyHart/Barker/Medina Club hockey team dropped a narrow 2-1 decision to third place Wilson/Newfane on Senior Recognition Day Saturday.
The opening period was scoreless as RBM’s defense was outstanding in their own zone and their were numerous shots on goal at the other end.
W/N scored late in the second period to take the lead.
Early in the final period, RBM tied the game with a goal by Joel Harris (Barker) assisted by Dayton Ruppel (Akron).
However, later in the period, W/N scored the winner on a rebound which careened to the opposite of the net for the easy shot.
Jaymis Taylor played a great game in goal for RBM.
Seniors recognized before the game were Conner McNeil of Medina and Dominic Peracciny of Roy-Hart as the first four year RBM players and Corey Saj (Medina) and Tagen Decker (Roy-Hart) as three year players.
