Wilson golfers top Albion to clinch tie for title; Medina, Roy-Hart score wins

Defending champion Wilson defeated Albion 214-251 this afternoon at Hickey Ridge to clinch at least a tie for the Niagara-Orleans League golf title.

The victory boosts Wilson’s record to 12-0 while Albion slips to 3-9.

Connor Seeley took medalist honors for the Lakemen with a 39 as Jonah Miller and Ben Kelly both shot 43 and Nate Fox and Nick Seider 44.

Patrick Ricker shot 47, Nick Penna 48 and Adam Sills 49 for the Purple Eagles.

Runner-up Medina improved to 9-2 by defeating Newfane 210-228 at Shelridge.

Melanie Green and Mike Cardone shared medalist honors for Medina with rounds of 40. Andrew Fuller and Trevor Luthart both carded 43’s for the Mustangs.

Aiden Herlan shot 43 and Connor Duncan 44 for Newfane which is now 8-4.

Roy-Hart improved to 6-5 by downing Barker (5-6) as Hogan Lang led the way with a 43.

Barker’s Brad Wilson took medalist honors with a 39.

Akron (1–11) gained its first win of the season by defeating CSAT (2-9) 245-264.
