Wilson girls top Roy-Hart to grab N-O lead

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Wilson’s Lilly O’Lay, who scored all three goals, and Roy-Hart’s Ava Owens battle for control of the ball luring this evening’s key Niagara-Orleans League game at Roy-Hart which was won by the Lakewomen.

Taking over sole possession of first place, Wilson blanked host Roy-Hart 3-0 this evening in a key Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Wilson stays undefeated at 5-0 while Roy-Hart slips to 4-1.

Lilly O’Lay scored all three goals for Wilson. The first came in the opening minute, the second on a long shot off a direct kick with four minutes to go in the first half and the third in the second half.

Albion 4, Barker 0

Abby Scanlan scored two goals and Claire Squicciarini and Kenzi Hapeman each added one as Albion blanked visiting Barker 4-0.

Squicciarini, Aly Knaak and Elisa Bropst each added an assist for the Purple Eagles which led 3-0 at the half.

Albion is now 2-3 and Barker 0-5.

Akron 4, Newfane 4

Kara Sequin scored three goals for Akron and Rachel Chunco two for Newfane in the contest which ended in a 4-4 tie.

Akron is now 2-2-1 and Newfane 1-3-1.
