Wilson girls rebound to down Barker

Rebounding from an 18 point loss at Medina on Tuesday, Wilson scored a 42-28 victory over host Barker this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball make-up game.

Shea Munnikhuysen scored 14 and Skylar Munnikhuysen 12 to lead the way for Wilson as Meg Musall added 7, Emily Kelly 4, Anna Frerichs 3 and Sarah Lewis and Morgan Faery 1 each.

Haley Brown and Kylie Miller each scored 5 for Barker as Serena Harris and Dakota Leising added 4, Gabby Baker 3, Sarah Mason, Haleigh Mason and Bailey Sutch 2 and Sydnie Luckman 1.

Wilson jumped out to a turnover aided 12-4 first period lead and the Lakewomen upped the advantage to 15, 22-7, at the half.  Skylar Munnikhuysen scored 5 and Shea Munnikhuysen 4 in both of the first two periods.

A burst of three quick baskets by Musall early in the third period upped the Wilson lead to 18, 28-10, The Lakewomen maintained a 14 point, 31-17, advantage at the three-quarter mark.

Wilson is now 7-4 and Barker 2-7 in N-O action.
