Wilson girls edge past Albion

Remaining undefeated at 9-0, Wilson used a pair of second half goals to edge past host Albion (4-5) 2-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Kayla Neumann scored what proved to be the game winner for Wilson just six minutes into the second half and Jenn Darlak added the clincher late in the half.

Wilson goalie Emily Kelly made one big diving save in the first half and another leaping save in the second to preserve the shutout.

Albion’s Brylie Hapeman brings the ball up field as Julia Seider comes in to defend for Wilson.

In other N-O action, Newfane (8-1) nipped host Medina (2-5-2) 2-1 in double overtime, Roy-Hart (5-3-1) blanked Barker (1-8) 7-0 and Akron (5-3-1) routed CSAT (0-9) 14-0.

Kaylee Heschke scored the game winner for Newfane with a minute to go in the second overtime period.

Newfane took a 1-0 lead in the second half on a goal by Emily Foltz but Medina answered with the tying goal on a shot by Destiny Satkowski with about three minutes remaining in regulation time.

Medina goalie Emma Gardner made two dozen saves.

Emma Linndke scored 4 goals and Amber Villella had 2 goals and 3 assists for Roy-Hart.
