Wilson girls edge Albion in overtime

Defending champion Wilson needed overtime to down host Albion 50-43 this evening as the Lakewomen improve to 4-0 in Niagara-Orleans League action.

Deadlocked at 43-43 at the end of regulation time, Wilson claimed the win by outpointing Albion 7-0 in the four minute overtime.

Peyton McInnis scored 5 of her 17 points in the overtime for Wilson which also got 15 on the evening from Bella Lemke.

Madison Hughson scored a game high 20 for Albion as Aurora Serafin added 7 and Abby Scanlan and Sydney Mulka 6 each.

Albion led 19-17 at the half and Wilson 35-27 after three quarters.

Newfane 52, Medina 22
Newfane improved to 3-0 in N-O action by downing visiting Medina 52-22 as Jensen McGhee scored 10 and Sienna Bowers and Angelina Ditullo 8 each.

Stella Poler scored 7 and Lily Carpenter 6 for Medina which trailed 27-12 at he half.
