Wilson girls blank Medina, Akron bests Albion in N-O girls soccer

Scoring twice in each half, Wilson blanked Medina 4-0 at Vets Park this evening to maintain a share of the Niagara-Orleans League lead.

Wilson improves to 5-0 and remains deadlocked with Newfane, a 5-1 victory over Roy-Hart.

Akron stayed a game off the pace at 3-1 by downing visiting Albion 6-2.

Wilson jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Emily Patterson and Gina Godwin in the first 14 minutes.

Patterson and Kayla Neumann then each scored a goal in the second half.

Akron 6, Albion 2
Exploding out to a commanding 4-0 half-time advantage, Akron went on to defeat visiting Albion 6-2 this afternoon.

Katie Apholz, Paige Buscaglia, Cailin Regan and Rebekah Lobur took turns scoring goals in the first half for Akron.

Buscaglia and Allison Norton also tallied for the Lady Tigers in the second half.

Mariah Elsenheimer netted both goals for Alblon which slips to 2-3.

Newfane 5, Roy-Hart 1
Kaylee Heschke scored three first half goals to spark Newfane past Roy-Hart.

Kayleigh Daniels and Brianna Heers also each scored a goal for the Lady Panthers.

In the other N-O game, CSAT (1-3) edged Barker (0-5) 2-0.
