A lightning quick goal in the first half minute sparked front-running Wilson (8-0-1) to a 4-1 victory over Albion (6-3) this afternoon in a key Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Marina Muth scored just 22 seconds into the game to put Wilson on top to stay and Lauren Austin made it 2-0 with a tally at the 30 minute mark.

Albion did cut the deficit to 2-1 at the half on a goal by Mariah Elsenheimer, off an assist from Kendall Piccirilli, but the Purple Eagles could get no closer.

Wilson put a lock on the victory with second half goals by Emily Kam and Holly Rudolph.

In other N-O action, Medina (3-6) blanked host Barker (0-9) 3-0 and Newfane (6–2-1) nipped host Roy-Hart (3-5) 2-1 on a goal by Savannah Jonathan. No Medina goal scorers were reported.
