Wilson trims Albion in N-O softball finale

Wilson edged past visiting Albion 7-5 this afternoon to close out the Niagara-Orleans League softball season.

Albion rallied to tie the game at 5-5 by scoring twice in the top of the sixth on an error and an RBI single by Cami London.

However, Wilson answered right back with the winning two runs in the home half of the frame on a single by Peyton McInnis and a single by Rian Faery.

Faery finished with 3 hits and McInnis 2.

London had a total of 4 hits, including a triple, for Albion as Alana Irvine and Abby Wittenberg both had 3 and Aubrielle Barry 2, including a double.

Final N-O Standings: Akron 11-1, Barker 9-3, Wilson 8-4, Roy-Hart 7-5, Albion 5-7, Medina 2-10, Newfane 0-12.

Barker 10, Alexander 7

Peyton Bradley had 2 hits and Anna Bowerman and Kaylee Stoll each banged out a double to lead Barker to a  10-7 non league win over Alexander.

Bradley also had a big day in the circle registering 11 strikeouts.

Attica 24, Holley 4

Leading 6-2, Attica used a big 8 run fifth inning scoring burst to key a 24-4 win over Holley in a Genesee Region League game.

Anna Torrey had a two-run homer for Attica as Natalie Janes and Morgan Buk each had 2 hits.

Layne Walker and Tia Hoffarth each had 2 hits for Holley.
