For the second week in a row a rash of turnovers proved costly as Albion dropped a 28-13 decision at Depew this evening in a B East Division game.

Tommy Mattison had 150 yards rushing, including touchdown carries of 15 and 10 yards, to keep Albion within two at 15-13 heading into the final quarter but the Purple Eagles, which had four turnovers on the night, could not take the lead.

An 80 yard touchdown run with a recovered fumble, a 64 yard punt return and a safety keyed the win for Depew.

Kory Reynolds had 12 tackles for the Albion defense as Trey Hart and Tyler Rotoli both had 8 and Tony Rotoli 7.

The loss drops Albion to 0-2 in the division and 1-2 overall while Depew is 2-0 and 2-1.

Albion next hosts East Aurora/Holland at 7 p.m. next Friday for Homecoming.
