White Birch sweeps; Banes splits in Medina Women’s Softball ‘A’ Division contests

White Birch swept a doubleheader Monday evening downing Dubby’s 17-1 and Banes 12-6 to improve to 10-1 in Medina Women’s Softball League ‘A’ Division competition.

Banes gained a split on the evening by downing Parkiteck 22-21.

White Birch 17, Dubby’s 1
Banging out 20 hits, the White Birch attack was led by Ella Lewis with 2 home runs and 4 RBI’s. Brynn Howell had 2 doubles and 1 single, Bekah Hoffee 1 double and 2 singles, Mallory Albone 1 double and 1 single, Anna Lewis 3 singles, Maddy Boyle and Aubrey Lewis 2 singles and Gracie Johnson, Kenzie Muck and Stacy Buckland with 1 single.

Madison Hughson had a homerun for Dubby’s and had a great defensive game in the outfield.

White Birch 12, Banes 6
Maddy Boyle had a home run to lead the way for White Birch as Albone had a triple and 2 singles, Aubrey Lewis and Johnson a triple and a single, Anna Lewis 2 singles and Ella Lewis, Hoffee and Howell 1 single.

Morgan Allis 3 hits including 2 doubles, Amy Lavender 3 hits including a double and Sue Seefeldt 2 hits including a double for Banes which is now 6-4.

Banes 22, Parkiteck 21
Banes was led at the plate by Connie Heschke, Sue Seefeldt and Sophia Goyette each with 4 hits, Jami Chatt 4 hits including a double, Lindsay Chatt 3 hits including 2 doubles, Morgan Allis 3 hits including a single, double and home run, Kathy Allen 3 hits including single, double and triple.

Rebounding from an early 12-1 deficit, Banes rallied into a 15-15 tie by scoring 10 runs in the fourth inning on 2 walks and singles by Goyette, Heschke, Jami Chatt, a double by Lindsay Chatt, home run by Allis, double by Allen and singles by Seefeldt and Rileigh McCabe

Banes then had to rally from a 21-15 deficit by scoring 5 runs in the fifth on singles by Allen, Amy Lavender, Sue Seefeldt, 2 walks, a single by Goyette and Heschke, a double by Lindsay Chatt and two in the sixth on a fielders choice play and a bases loaded RBI game winning single by Goyette. A triple by Allen ignited the decisive rally.
