Wednesday will top 90 locally

The warm weather has definitely arrived with a high near 80 today in Orleans County, followed by a scorcher on Wednesday, with a high near 91, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo. An “extreme heat alert” has been issued for Orleans County on Wednesday with the heat index at 91 degrees. If you’re outside tomorrow, stay hydrated.

Thursday there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 85, followed by a high near 80 on Friday, when showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm.
