Warriors down Panthers for Class B1 title
Building up a 33-14 half-time advantage, top seeded Salamanca went on to down No. 3 Newfane 61-43 in the Section VI Classs B1 boys basketball championship game this afternoon at Buffalo State College.
Lucas Brown scored a game high 26 points, including five threes, to lead the Warriors.
Nate Snow scored 16 and Mac Capen 10 to pace Newfane which finishes the season at 20-3.
Salamanca will next face Falconer for the overall Section VI Class B title and a berth in the state playoffs. Falconer defeated Eden 59-47 for the Class B2 title.
