Warne, who will be in his fourth season as Albion’s starting catcher next spring, plans on majoring in Civil Engineering. He earned first team Niagara-Orleans All-League honors last spring hitting .429 in helping to lead the Purple Eagles to a second straight league title. “John is very committed to baseball,” said Mannella. “He’s got great defensive skills, a strong arm and a good bat. He’s a total player and he’s a very good student. He will be an asset to our program.”
