ALBION – A group of volunteers last week ripped out a rotted wooden retaining wall in front of the First Presbyterian Church of Albion.

Today, the volunteers are back setting decorative stone blocks in front of the church. Gary Plummer, left, is leading the effort. He attends the church. He is assisted by his son-in-law Mark Standish (orange shirt) and Randy Hurt (yellow shirt). Ed Neal, a local dairy farmer, and Orchard Dale Fruit Farm are also helping with the effort.

The old retaining wall was taken out last week and the new stone wall is going in today.

Mark Standish and Randy Hurt are part of the crew putting in the stone blocks.
