Veteran quintet is set to lead Rams

Led by a quintet of seniors, Roy-Hart will begin tuning up for the Niagara-Orleans League basketball season next week with a pair of non league contests at North Tonawanda on Tuesday and at Cleveland Hill on Saturday.
Dan Aquilina, who earned first team N-O All-League honors last season, heads that quintet which also includes Braden Ricker, who was an Honorable Mention selection, Caleb Beyer, Jackson West and Enrique Powell. Aquilina had a big season with 363 points and 190 rebounds.
Rounding out the Rams top eight are juniors Tysen McCaa and Vinny Fazzio and sophomore Matt Aquilina.
“We’ve got a good group back,” said Coach Joe Pawlak.
The Rams will also host Notre Dame on December 10 and Allegany-Limestone on Dec. 13 before opening the N-O season at home against Wilson on Dec. 17.
Roy-Hart’s graduation losses included Rem Albee, Jayden Swygert and Jackson Webber.
The Rams went 6-6 in N-O action last fall.
