Veteran backcourt trio to lead Rams

A trio of veteran backcourt players looks to lead the way for Roy-Hart as the Rams prep for the upcoming Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball season.

That trio of guards includes seniors Jake Bruning and Noah Kindron along with junior Charlie Brigham. Bruning earned second team Al-League honors last season as he scored 335 points for a 15.2 average.

“We have a very talented backcourt and we’ll definitely be leaning on them,” said Rams Coach Joe Pawlak.

Up front the Rams are looking to the quartet of senior Jon Huntington, juniors Quinten Koch and Charlie Bruning and sophomore Blake Halstead.

“We’ve got a really nice rotation of players upfront,” said Pawlak who noted that the Rams are also looking for contributions from juniors Lance Krieger and Hunter Pratt.

The Rams graduated seven players including Cam Meadows, Brendan Hess and Eric Fitch.

Roy-Hart, which went 4-8 in the league a year ago is slated to open the season at home on November 28 with a non league game against CCA. The Rams N-O opener s slated for December 12 at Newfane.
