Veteran quartet leads Kendall spikers

Photo by Mike Wertman – This veteran quartet of Chelsea Wright, Lexi Payton, Sarah Pearson and Madison Rath will anchor the Kendall volleyball squad this season.

Led by a quartet of returning starters, Kendall is prepping for the September 2 Genesee Region League volleyball home opener against Wheatland-Chili.

The Lady Eagles veteran foursome includes senior setter Sarah Pearson along with junior outside hitters Chelsea Wright and Lexi Payton and junior middle hitter Madison Rath.

The Lady Eagles are also counting on a trio of upcoming juniors including Emily Mattle, Ruthie Seabolt and Jessica Makowski.

“With the returning players we have and the good kids coming up we hope to be really competitive,” said Coach Morgan Engelbert. “I think we’ve got something really good going.”
