Urbanik pitches in Senior League World Series
Contributed Photo – Lyndonville’s Ed Urbanik in action on the mound for the Rochester Redwings at the Men’s Senior Baseball League (MSBL) World Series in Arizona. The Redwings defeated the Leigh Valley Hurricanes 4-2 as Urbanik threw 9 innings allowing 4 hits with 7 strikeouts and no walks. He came in relief the next day down 6-2 in the fourth inning against the Cincinnati Tigers. The Wings won it in the 10th 7-6 as he threw 7 shut out innings, striking out 8 allowing 3 hits and no walks. The win gave Rochester a first round bye. The Redwings eventually lost in the semi finals to the tournament winners Motor City.
