The location has changed but the second annual unique outdoor Barker/Roy-Hart Summer Duals Team Wrestling Tournament will be held on July 25.

Nicknamed “The Battle For The Belt”, the tournament, which is for wrestlers in grades 7-12, will be held on the football field at Roy-Hart beginning at 5 p.m.

Last year, the inaugural event was held during the afternoon on the Barker football field. However, because of the heat it was decided this year to switch the location to Roy-Hart where the starting time could be pushed back to later in the afternoon and the football field lights utilized.

In the event of rain, the tournament will move inside with the same starting time.

The tournament will be run as a 10 team, two 5 team pool tournament. Each team will have 5 dual matches during the day. The first place teams in each pool will wrestle for the title with the second, third, fourth and fifth place teams wrestling each other to complete the final standings.

The Niagara Frontier League team took home top honors and the Belt in the inaugural tournament which had a six team field including a team representing the Niagara-Orleans League.
