Unbeaten Ramparts top Golden Eagles
Breaking away from an early 2-2 tie, the undefeated Batavia Ramparts erupted for six goals in the second period to key a 12-4 win over the Tri-County Golden Eagles Bantam Travel team Saturday at SUNY Brockport.
Alex Totten scored 5 goals to lead the Ramparts as Max Hutchins added 3, Jed Reese 2 and Vinnie DiRisio and Dereick Fedus 1 each.
Mike Holding scored 2 goals for the Golden Eagles as Jeremiah Rausch and Josh Wood both netted 1.
Tri-County is now 7-5-1 in the league and 9-11-1 overall.
The Ramparts then improved to 14-0 on the season by defeating second place Jamestown 11-2 today.
Up 3-1 after one period, the Ramparts exploded for 5 goals in the second period to break the contest open.
Totten again led the offense with 4 goals as Reese had 3, Hutchins 2 and Drew Bower and Nate Ryan 1 each.
On the season, the Ramparts have outscored their opponent 131-16.
