U16 team gets Medina summer lacrosse program underway

Medina’s summer lacrosse program began its season of competition in the Western New York League on Wednesday as the U16 team lost 8-2 at East Aurora.

DaRon Bellan and Christian Silversmith each scored a goal for Medina.

Mason Pecoraro made 12 saves in goal.

The U16 team next visits Sweet Home on July 1.

The Medina 8U, 10U and 14U teams will all open their season next week.

The 14U team will host the Buffalo Youth Lacrosse squad on June 30 and visit Sweet Home on July , both at 7:30 p.m.

The 10U team will host North Tonawanda on June 30 and Clarence on July 2, both at 6:15 p.m.

The 8U team will visit Clarence on June 30 and then host Clarence on July 2, both at 6:15 p.m.
