U14 Fillies downed by Lou Gehrig
The Medina U14 Fillies dropped a 7-2 decision to host Lou Gehrig Tuesday in a Metro Girls Softball League game.
Lou Gehrig opened the scoring in the second on an error and added another run in the third before Medina was able to get on the board scoring Ashlee Howell in the fourth. Howell led off the inning with a triple and Brandi Guild got the RBI with a sacrifice ground ball to the second baseman. Howell would score again in the sixth for the only other Medina run.
Medina left the bases loaded in the sixth.
Lacey Kenward had 2 singles for Medina as Guild and Micaela Erway both had 1.
In the circle, Kenward struck out 6.
Medina travels to Clarence on Sunday to play the Red Devils.
