U12 Fillies downed by North Buffalo
Trailing 9-7, North Buffalo rallied for 5 runs in the fourth inning and 7 more in the fifth to defeat the Medina U12 Fillies 21-9 Thursday in a Metro Girls Softball League game.
Ryan Olles, Lexi Hare, Chloe Stinson and Gracie Hughes each had 2 singles for the Fillies as Faithann Vanderwalker added 1 and Paige Adkins 2 sacrifices.
Hits by Hare and Stinson keyed a two-run first inning for Medina which later added a big five-run thrd inning on hits by Olles, Hare, Hughes and a two-run sacrifice by Adkins.
However, North Buffalo pulled away with a total of 12 runs in the fourth and fifth frames.
Medina was only able to score 2 more runs on hits by Stinson, Hughes, Vanderwalker and a sacrifice by Adkins.
Defensively, Hughes assisted on 7 outs at first and Oberther pitched the entire game registering 2 strikeouts.
