Two Medina teams gain indoor soccer league playoff finals

Medina will be represented in both the Junior and Senior Division playoff championship games of the Kenan Indoor Soccer League next Saturday.

In the Junior Division, regular season leader Medina defeated Zimmi’s Auto Service 5-2 in the semifinals this past weekend. Matt Hess scored 2 goals as Andrew Houseman, Ethan Leonard and Nate Sherman each had one.

Medina will now face Wolfe’s Lumber Mill in the finals.

In the Senior Division, regular season champion Medina 1 downed Jennifer Allis Photography 9-4 in the semifinal round. Steven Allis led the way with 4 goals as Collin Dunn, Carson Zgoda, Zach Laird, Katie O’Cnnor and Mitchell Perry each netted 1.

Medina 1 will face Learning Edge Tutoring in the title game.

In the opening round of the Senior Division playoffs, Medina 2 dropped a 7-5 decision to Jennifer Allis Photography. Brian Anderson scored 3 goals while Nick Albone and Mason Bayne each added 1.
