Two Medina teams clinch soccer titles
Medina teams locked up regular season titles in both the Junior and Senior Divisions of the Kenan Indoor Soccer League with victories this past weekend.
In the Junior Division, Medina stayed undefeated at 7-0 by posting a title clinching 9-2 win over Wolfe Lumber Mill.
Elian Gonzalez scored 3 goals for Medina as Ethan Leonard and Matt Hess both netted 2 and Andrew Houseman and John Pietrasesa 1 each.
In the Senior Division, Medina 1 clinched the title by besting Reid’s Drive-In 12-1 to stay unbeaten at 7-0.
Max Owens scored 3 goals, Steven Anderson, Collin Dunn and Katie O’Connor 2 and Carson Zgoda, Josh Klotzbach and Kayleigh Kuzma 1 each for Medina 1.
Also in the Senior Division, Medina 2 dropped a narrow 7-5 decision to Learning Edge Tutoring to go to 2-5 on the season.
Brian Anderson scored 3 goals for Medina 2 as Nick Albone and Ian Smith each netted 1.
