Two local student/athletes receive G-R award

Holley’s Halee Pasarell and Lyndonville’s Nathan Dillenbeck, both seniors, have received the Genesee Region League’s Stan Sherwood Memorial Award.
Passarell has been a multi year starter in soccer, basketball and softball for Holley as has Dillenbeck in soccer, basketball and baseball for Lyndonville.
The award is given in memory of Stan Sherwood who was a physical edcation/health teacher and coach at Elba for 33 years.
G-R officials note that both through his teaching and coaching Sherwood taught students “not only the skills necessary for a particular sport, but the values required in life to be successful.”
