Two Albion youth football players, Amari Jones and Nate Moore, earned top three finishes this weekend in the Punt, Pass and Kick Team Championship competition held in the Buffalo Bills Field House at Ralph Wilson Stadium.Jones finished second and Moore third in their respective age groups.

Jones played for the Albion Mini Division team and Moore for the Albion Varsity Division squad in the Niagara Orleans Football Association this past season.

Jones and Moore first competed in the local NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition held this past September at Bullard Park in Albion and their success advanced them to the sectionals.

The sectionals took place in October at the Buffalo Bills Field House where they competed against kids in the Section 6 area and Ontario. Again their success advanced them to this weekend Team Championships.

The Team Championships, which were held Saturday at the Field House involved youthful competitors from the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse areas. The top place finishers were then announced during this afternoon’s Green Bay Packers at Bills game.
